Say what you will about the series I tend to agree myself with most of it. The first time Goku turned SS against freeza was a damm good moment.

I still think this was a mistake in terms of starting point. I think they should have went for a trilogy of Frieza, Cell, Buu. If you wanted to make these more into an epic mold of 2.5 hours each, I believe you would have plenty of time to tell the stories and do the characters justice. Everything before Frieza is somewhat boring and redundant. People want to see Super Siaya-jins and the true evils. Just think of the central or climactic point of each movie. Frieza: first SSJ transformaing; Cell: Gohan SS2; and Buu: Fusion. That's some of the greatest moments of DBZ.

If this is successful, you have Radditz next. If they are smart and make another movie, I would consolidate Radditz and Nappa/Vegeta into one movie. That gets you one movie away from the good stuff. The overall downfall with this is only the true fans will support this beyond the first movie because they know what's coming. I think to the casual movie goer, this isn't going to impress anyone all that much. Just my opinion and i'll probably go watch it in hopes of proving myself wrong but this just appears to be another mediocre take on a pre-existing idea.

Considering this is a Dragon Ball movie, not a DBZ movie I think that doesn't make sense.

Trailer looks terribad though, mainly because what the fuck have they done to Goku?

The fact that Roshi isn't a dirty old pervert super ninja is rather disappointing to say the least, oh and the rest of the movie too.

Edit: I lied, Piccolo's voice is actually really fucking hard core, but thats about the only redeeming quality barring a lesbian sex scene with the chicks playing Bulma/Chi Chi

Well, the trailer doesn't show much of Roshi's sexual antics. So, it's kind of hard to say if he is or isn't sexual in the movie.

I personally thought the movie looked all right. I hope we actually see Burma and Gokou try and find Roshi (as in the manga/anime) instead of just outright there. Hmm...or wonder when in the anime/manga this will take place.
