There telekinesis seems to be limited to just that one thing... That's the problem. It's like not giving the character a base power but some random shit.

Like instead of giving superman heatvision he has the power to steam water with his eyes and thats all they ever display.

I thought the movie was ridiculous but I enjoyed it still =P.

Holy shit, that was cool. This movie is up there with Equilibrium for gunfights.

Yeah, the code, greater good, (and of course, Jolie's availability as previously mentioned) etc. Still, it bugged me. If it was because of the code, I just disagree with their choice of plot progression. But if it was over Jolie, that's lame. Compromising a film's content for the sake coherence in a possible sequel is just wrong to me.
You're a moron. That was a great scene that was perfectly in character. It's obvious in the movie that she's a true believer, maybe the only one there. That must have gone over your head like everything else.

I went to see this movie and despite the preview being shit, I thought it was okay. The action sequences were well done. It had that "Night Watch" feel to it. I especially liked him using that one guy as a human shield with a pistol through his skull. Creative!

The guy who convinced me to see it went in thinking it would be badass, then came out thinking it sucked. I went in assuming it would suck, and thought it was all right. Complete switcheroo.

'Fate' is a bitch though.

Edit: Also, did anyone else think McAvoy sounded dumb? Why couldn't they just let him keep his Scottish accent and sound badass? They already departed from the comic, according to some of you folks. His American accent made him sound too whiny.

You're a moron. I never said it was out of character. Read where I mention the "the code, the greater good, etc.". I understand perfectly why she did it. I just said I didn't like it. It was a weird way to take the story (IN MY OPINION) - I would've rather had them take it in a different direction. Like I said, I didn't care for that loom at all. Hell, I thought the loom was more ridiculous than the curving bullets.

I don't even know what's being discussed, I just know to tell you that Awanka is generally retarded when it comes to movies (see: The Wicker Man thread).

What's clear is that you're an even bigger dumbass than I originally thought. You don't even understand your own posts. Read your own words genius

There's nothing wierd about it. That backwards brain of yours just can't comprehend someone with that kind of pure will and conscience because you're such a fumbling fucktard.

I normally don't respond to your posts Ham n Cheese because they're pathetic and desperate, but this is in poor form even for you. You freely admit you don't know anything about what's being discussed(you never do), yet you post something that has nothing to do with the topic so you can try to get back at me for some imagined sleight from long ago. It has become a pattern. I thought this movie was awesome, so are you saying the movie must suck because I like Wickerman? What exactly is your point, or is this just you following me around trying to take shots to raise your low self-esteem(rightly so)?

The way I see it, whatever force that drives the loom is more concerned with the outcome than how it achieves the goal. If innocent people have to die to save thousands it would choose those people as targets. They don't necessarily have to be "bad."

This movie made me think of LOOM, the classic DOS adventure game, also based on a guild of weavers. The giant loom the guild had in their building also had the power to affect reality.

I posted this already, but I think the simple explanation for her name coming up was because she was responsible for the death of everyone on that train when she crashed the car into it causing the derail on the bridge. Sloan sat on the orders and she wasn't killed in time to prevent it. Either that or he was lying about their names coming up to make them think he wasn't the only one, and she killed herself for no reason.

Well, as Suineg mentioned, the power in the comic was that The Killer never missed a shot. I assume they had to make it a little less potent that than for the movie, since the gave the power to a whole bunch of characters, so they ended up with the ability to put a little 'english' on the bullet instead.

Heh, departed doesn't even begin to describe it. The comic was about a organization of supervillains who eradicated all heroes from the world using mind control and took over. The characters were all parodies of DC villains, and rather obscure ones at that. And while I have to give Millar props for naming a character Fuckwit, and having a guy who's like Clayface except made out of shit, the comic would have made a really terrible movie. I don't think Hollywood would have gone for the main character going on a spree of rape, robbery, and murder in place of the training section of the movie either.

It was never said that they were only killing evil guys, just saving lives by killing people who would cause death. Their names could have come up simply because they were working for Sloan whether they were tricked or not.

Bullet bending was a decent concept until Angelina pulled that stunt off at the end. It became too ridiculous(how many times did the bullets collide in mid air?), used way to frequently, and as a result became somewhat tiring by the end of the movie. Not nearly as cool as what the Matrix did with bullet dodging. Still a preaty good movie, though I just hate too much over-the-top action as it usually causes the movie to do a 360 at times and bite itself in the ass. I'd give it a 7/10.

The bullet curving actually remained consistent throughout the movie except for one place: the training to shoot the target behind the pig. I wouldn't call that one curving, it was more like swerving (i.e. dodging wildlife on the road with your car). That was not representative of any other shot curve in the movie.

As far as the Fox shot it's like a JFK multiplied tenfold, plus the momentum had to carry through 10 skulls until it gets back to her and stops in her head. I would have preferred her doing a double curved shot, one left one right, which takes out 2-3 each, then have either Sloan or Wesley be the one to do her in.

I loved the movie. Brainless violence, great action, etc. The only way this movie could have been better if Jolie would have jumped out of the screen and had sex with me right there.
