I was off by alot, I figured majority of votes would be for flash and thor since those are much more well known and the rest would be about even. I didnt know how popular deadpool was for just looking badass alone.

Manhunter is alternately unbelievably awesome and unremittingly terrible.

Isn't Powers published by Marvel now? ICON or one of their lines. That shit would be awesome. The early storyline(Who Killed Retro Girl?) would be perfect. It's a murder mystery, and the main characters aren't actually super heroes, but detectives who have to solve super hero crimes. I think Bendis has mentioned working on scripts for it before, and talking with Hollywood types. Done with a budget and the right crew Powers would blow away every other comic movie made to date. Marvel/DC ones anyways.

Deadpool is fun. If you hate Deadpool there's 3 possible reasons.

1) You read the wrong issues. It's not all gold, but the issues that I think it was Priest wrote were great. And a lot of the other stuff is just fun.
2) You're some snobby fuckhole who has way too high an opinion of himself and lofty standards for what comics should be that match. ZOMG if it's not Preacher or Transmetropolitan it's shite!
3) You have no sense of humor. This usually comes packaged with option 2.

Deadpool is fun=P It's stupid and fun, occasionally that should be acceptable in a COMIC book. And I know you'll just say it's not actually funny or whatever bullshit you tell yourselves and your friends down at The Android's Dungeon, but you're wrong. And stupid.

Martian manhunter is a bad ass. His character is cool as hell in the cartoon series, I was really shocked that they put him in smallville but that character is no where near like the comic. He is a one of the coolest in the justice league but on his own It would be hard to make a movie off of him. Alot of the people that havnt read "The question" should look into that character.

To be honest I'm not a fan of superhero comics to begin with. I can't even read X-Men anymore and I used to really like that book. I liked Rising Stars and Supreme Power because they have a more realistic and bleak outlook on the whole hero thing, and Supreme Power especially because it was on MAX (Squadron Supreme = garbage). And while I have a sense of humor, it leans more towards the black comedy of, say, Garth Ennis or the people who created Bomb Queen (which also occasionally breaks the 'fourth wall' but somehow isn't nearly as annoying about it) for Image.

So all that adds up to me thinking that the issues of Deadpool and Cable & Deadpool that I've read were horrible.

Ok you can stop being a comic snob for like 5 minutes. I've really appreciated your comments on comics, and really enjoyed all of your recommendations that I've read but you can't say Deadpool is "some of the worst shit you've ever read."

Is anyone saying it's some kind of literature masterpiece? Hell no! But is he one of the most consistently entertaining "heroes" in the marvel universe? Hell ya!

It's not my favorite comic by far, but he is my favorite character hands down.

I'm pretty sure real comics snobs would point and laugh at some of the stuff I consider to be among my favorites. Bomb Queen, for instance.

I guess saying it's some of the worst shit I've read sounds a bit more harsh than I intended. While I stand by that statement, the fact is that I rarely read anything that I expect to really like and end up hating instead. I'm sure that in the realm of comics that I never even gave one issue's worth of a chance there are many things infinitely worse than Deadpool or Deadpool & Cable.

I agree Gambit sucks. I don't understand why everyone has a hard on for him. I could go for Scud the Disposable Assassin as a comic movie. Robots, mutants, Ben Franklin, God, the devil, and hot women. I'm totally dreaming on this one though.

Out of all the characters in x-men they don't really have any good backrounds that you can keep doing stories on besides Gambit/wolverine. Think about reading stories about just rogue, cyclops, or jean Grey... Most of them suck if they arent involved with the X-men.
