dr strange directed in a black and white-style sin city would be rather intriguing i think, but i liked his animated movie a lot already so they could leave it as is. Dont know who i'd cast, but for some reason he reminds me of burt reynolds.

Thor was a badass in the avengers, live action would be good, full of lightning storms.

The Question gets my vote however, with all the 9/11 and goverment conspiracy's, even if it was a spoof on The Questions character, i'd love it. Raul Julia would be an awesome Question, RIP

Well, and a pretty defining feature of Deadpool is that he's aware of being a comic book character and frequently talks shit about the artists, the publishers or whatever else he feels like (i.e. breaking the "fourth wall" as literary afficiandos like to call it). Not sure how that would fly in a movie.

I chose "other." I would rather see:

Gambit
Grifter
Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow
Backlash

The Savage Dragon
Shi:

And for a team I would love to see the original Gen13 Miniseries.

I wanted to say gambit since him and Wolverine are the only X-men I feel have good backround stories. You could do alot with the Thieve's Guild and his past. I figured they will make another X men movie soon and hopefully have him in it. For some odd reason I can see josh hartnett pulling that role off maybe. I dunno how good he is at doing a southern accent though.

There was this thing called the New Wave aka la nouvelle vague, oh, almost 50 years ago now... and even before that there was this guy called Tex Avery... so don't worry, it will be fine.

Btw, I recommand that somewhat recent hommage to the new wave called "Dans Paris" (aka Inside Paris) that starts with something similar in very unexpected way.

Oh and a choice is missing from this poll: leaving comics characters alone.

Of course it will not happen, but to date the hit and miss ratio is pretty abysmal. Hulk to some extend, maybe the three Spider-Man that at the very least are well crafted, Burton's Batmans, but then what? The best super hero movies seem to not be adaptions, such as Unbreakable (a meta super hero movie), Matrix Reloaded (super power action non-stop) or, hell, The Bourne Ultimatum (a hero who certainly is borderline super and simply does not like fancy outfits).

Just cause people been there before doesn't mean it'll fly with the current audience. Whatever else you might say about recent Superhero-flicks, they've by and large taken themselves alot more serious than they used too (compare the recent Superman with the 70s ones, phone booth jokes and all, or the recent Batman with the slightly more tongue-in-cheek ones by Tim Burton).

So breaking that might easily alienate the audience (or at least raise producer fears of alienating the audience) and no amount of Tex Avery will help you there.

They still can't do superman right. I loved the cartoon series though, and lobo was a bad ass. Smallville could be so much better if I didnt always think they were fucking up the adaption from the comics.

Yes please!!!
Especially in the non-smoking, non-cursing, sex-and-gore-free PG 13 version cause we all know who's the audience adressed by hollywood comic book adaptations.

Really'd like to see a PC Lobo running around trowing kiddy-insults like John McClane 4.0, saving some old lady cause in the end he's a nice guy after all below the bluster.

Well maybe not, but I'd certainly like to see the fans reaction (and corresponding FoH thread) to that movie

I voted Cable & Deadpool. I want their storyline in movie form. Man, that would be awesome. Just the teleportation accidents alone would be worth paying to see.

Of the options listed: The Question, no contest. As long as it's based on the O'Neill/Cowan series from the 80's (which could be easily updated to 200x), which is still my favorite comic book of all time.

For 'other' I can't really think of too many of the great books that would work as just a 2 hour movie (The Luna Brothers' series Girls is the only thing that comes to mind and even that would have to be heavily trimmed to fit in a movie), but there's a ton I'd love to see as a [HBO/SHO] series. Stuff like Y: The Last Man, 100 Bullets, Criminal, Strange Girl, Crossing Midnight, Alias, Rising Stars, Supreme Power, etc. would be perfect for that.

I could MAYBE see a Y movie but it would be a ridiculous stretch. Like Vorph said it would make for a really cool miniseries. 100 Bullets could absolutely never be done in a movie. The way it is set up is just begging for a TV show. Man, that would be cool as shit.

But still, nothing would be as cool as a real Punisher movie.

O and if you want to be a tremendous faggot you could make a Fables series of movies. That'd be ok by me. (I'm not a tremendous faggot though)
