Thundercats Movie Announced

Hopefully not by Michael Bay this time around...

The project is set up at Warner Brothers, will be live action (obviously), and reportedly is a retelling of the Thundercats' origin story (i.e., the first episode of the TV series).

More details forthcoming.

UPDATE (6/7/07): It's looking more and more like this will be CGI, and not live-action, as previously thought.

That article is more recent than my info, so I'll defer to its call if it says this will be CGI.

I dunno. Live Action would kind of scare me. As I don't have a lot of faith of them doing something that doesn't look..well..stupid.

But CGI, at least over here, haven't really put out much that's in line with anything I'd want to see, especially relating to thundercats. All I can see is Shrek with Cat people.

Teddy Ruxpin? (I'm fairly sure that the creepy talking toy had a cartoon)

I don't get it, I watch these shows now and they're awful. They only seemed clever because I was 6, and yet my whole generation seems to have a hard-on for these shows still.
