+3 Internets | I thought it was decent. I didn't get the point of the mother. I figure they were trying to explain how the main character survived so long past age 5 but they did a poor job of that during the movie. It was something I had to think about after the fact and piece together with assumptions. I also thought the scene in the bar when he returns was poorly scripted. The girl would have had a much more shocking reaction to his return after seeing him fall through the ice and disappear for 8 years. |

| Just saw in, meh. Was expecting a lot worse based on reviews, wasn't that awful. I just finished portal today so it was pretty nice tie-in after, hahaha. Absolutely shitty casting though - Anakin sucked balls, Samuel L jackson looked fucking ridiculous - in one scene you could actually see white powder streaks on his face. WTF? We know you pour flour on your hair motherfucker, couldn't the director at least smudge it off your face? Diane Hall as the mom was just bizarre and pointless, except for sequel setups I guess. Ok fight scenes, I like the car racing scene and the travel-round-the-world bits. and about that ending... Spoiler Alert, click show to read: |

+17 Internets | I'm on the boat of just watched this recently. I thought the movie for the first half was good, I was very interested in the action and the whole concept. But at the last 30~ minutes it was just complete shit. Another 20 minutes somewhere along the line to explain what was going on with their abilities and how the paladins figured out how to trap them would of made the movie alot better. |

+5 Internets | Watched it on dvd recently, and I'm with the people that thought it was ok but could have been a lot better. The story dropped off into not really caring too much at the end as far as I'm concerned. Some parts I enjoyed were Rachel Bilson, and his bad ass room with no door where he kept all his cash. If nothing else this movie made me start thinking of what I'd do with that power just like Next had me thinking what I could do with being able to see 2 minutes into the future. Hmm, maybe if we combined those two powers we'd have one fantastic movie!~ |

| that room with no door that was connected to his apartment annoyed me, if he can port why not keep a room in a remote location hidden under ground? he made it way too easy to have it discovered. it didnt have to be sam jackson it could have been sopmebody from the hotel staff who would instantly know all his important secrets. and why did he keep pics of his ports in that room and not in his wallet or soemthing so he had an easy to reach place? yeah that room was ass. |

+5 Internets | My first guess would be that it might be a little difficult to actually build a room underground somewhere with no way in? How do you explain that to the workers? Not to mention, what do you do when the oxygen eventually gets used up? I suppose you'd build air vents, but then someone might find it right? And again, just how exactly do you build this without anyone knowing? I'm sure there are ways, like building it in a South American rainforest with indigenous workers, but seriously, until these bad ass paladins and the other dude that could teleport came around, he thought he was the only one in the world that could do that, so why would he take extra special precautions like building a fort knox underground? At some point you have to look at how difficult it would be to build this super secret room (because I'm sure given enough cash you could actually build it) vs. his perceived need of one. If I thought I was the only one, a simple doorless room in my condo (I'm fairly certain he didn't just live in a conventional apartment where the super came in unexpectedly all the time) would probably seem super safe by most reasonable accounts. And I'd probably keep most of my pictures in there too. I would, however, keep some in my wallet as you suggested. |

| if you don't think anyone is after you i think its normal to setup a nice apt with all your shit, don't see anything weird in that. what was stupid though was after some random big black guy with fucked up hair shows up at your place and tries to kill you, you decide that traveling to rome with your hs sweetie is the best thing to do. yeah, don't wonder if the psycho or possible govt agent will track you down FROM ALL THE SHIT IN YOUR APARTMENT, just make yourself really, really easy to find. |

| Its been a few months since ive seen it but wasnt there some detective after him too? he was tracking him down from the video surveillance in the vault? the dude was robbing banks after all and even if he never thought a black dude with powdery white hair might come knocking at his door he had to at least expect somebody might want him nabbed for ganking all that cash. |

| I have to agree with the sentiment that *anakin* thought he was the only one of his kind. Some anomaly of sorts. So yeah he pretty much feels invulnerable. If any trouble ever showed up in 2 seconds he can be all the way across the world, and could still port to his room in time enough to get enough cash to start everything over again. Then the paladins show up turn his shit upside down. I would immagine he doesn't understand thier dedication / knowledge of the ability. So yeah a trip to rome is probably something he might think they wouldn't anticipate. After all the guy can go anywhere in the world in a blink of an eye. |

| If he thought he was invulnerable why would he need to hide anything in a secret room ? he knew somebody would come along looking for him but i guess he didnt think they would find his cheesy hidden room right next door with all his personal information cash and port locations. |

| He thought he was invulnerable in the sense that until he met the paladin there is / was nothing in the world that could stop him. So assume the FBI does find him bust down his door. Boom he ports into the room snatches some cash / other misc obejcts of importance and boom off he goes again. Traditional humans pose him no threat when he can whisk himself thousands of miles away. Now paladins who shoot electricity up his ass he didn't account for. |

Anyways, the white shit on his face was from him ripping through a wall...Drywall, speficially. You'll end up with white powder on your face. My major question for the movie, however (since Netflix just got to it in my Queue earlier this week) is what powers do the paladins have? And how is having those powers any different from the jumping ability in philosiphy? I mean, SLJ was obviously pretty fucking strong, ripping through that wall like that. I don't know how many of you have tried to rip through a wall with your bare hands, but it sure as fuck ain't as easy as he showed. (I should know, I once tried to help my Dad rip down a wall by throwing my body through it. ...Yes, Marijuana was an influence)

+8 Internets | Pretty sure the paladins didn't have powers, just cool gadgets? I don't recall the scene you're talking about, but I'm willing to chalk it up to making the villain seem larger than life.
