Yeah. Obviously it was never on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim. I guess this was someone's "Uberworlds" project for a while. I'm glad the site's still up though it looks like it hasn't been updated since January 2004.

Yeah it was a fan made site made by a group of players. They actually attempted to get made and proposed but it got turned down. Woulda been pretty badass.

This movie will be cool if there are some silly references to playing EQ.

I mean, a ranger needs to get one shot if they want to sell one ticket.

The thing is, no matter how crappy the story is - this movie will still be absolutely golden for those of us who played EQ.

Just the sheer mention on the big screen of places like Seb, KC, Chardok, etc. and NPC's like Naggy/Vox, the gods, or Fippy will do enough for the nostalgia factor to make the movie kickass IMO. But I guess I'm just easily entertained.

I doubt we would see a bevy of places/entities. It's only 2-3 hours of film here. Likely it would have a couple of the main cities, some travels in familiar overland zones and a dungeon trip or two to wrap up the story.

Disco camp in sebilis requires a dance scene with frogs! And a passenger on the boat to Freeport falls off from going through the hull and has to swim back with a swimming skill of only 0! And of course young wood elves falling to their death from jumping off Kelethin is required.

Overrall, no matter how horrible it could possibly be, I would have to see it. But I guess they could play it similarly to how wtfcomics did. Now that I think of it, have it set in GoD. I've always wondered how to pronounce half the mobs/zones in that expansion.

I believe when it is released only 72ppl can see it per showing, so that might hamper ticket sales.

This movie would be really cool if it was made like the recent Final Fantasy one, with some epic scores from the original game, not the orchestrated EQ2 garbage.

Poor Fippy, didnt someone once actually ask the devs why Fippy does his thing and i guess they thought there would be some kind of storyline behind it and then the dev says, uh we just thought it would be cool. good times. wasnt there an equal wandering named cyclops in EK?

With any luck they'll really capture the feel of the game. Getting kicked by snakes please?

In reality though, I didn't really love the 300 script, some of the dialog was pretty damn awkward.. and Avi Arad, I don't know how I feel about the guy. He definitely throws up a lot of movies.
