| The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford I am surprised no one has talked about this yet. Looks very interesting, though we don't even hear Pitt talk in the trailer. I like Casey Afleck and Pitt both, so I'm looking forward to this. Plus, I love westerns. trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/the...mes/trailer1a/ |

+6 Internets | I have mixed feelings about this movie. The trailer doesn't look bad, but the title is to damn long. I am a fan of Pitt and Affleck (thank God it's not the OTHER Affleck), and I am in love with Zooey Deschanel. I have been told by a few friends that the novel is very good, so that spells trouble. The director, who also wrote the screenplay, is making only his second appearance in both respects. He directed and wrote the screenplay for his first film Chopper. I think it has potential, but I guess we will wait and see. I have been wanting to read the novel, but I might wait to read it until after I see the movie. P.S. House FTW! |

| It's weird to hear music from one movie in another, even just the trailer. Witness this trailer using Shawshank music or the Requiem for a Dream song back in the LOTR trailer. Oh and I think the title is good. |

+1 Internets | I happen to like the title. It's interesting in an ironic, novel kind of way. The blatant obviousness of it fits the atmosphere of the movie too. It's quant and sounds like a title some writer in the Wild West would stick on his folk-legend novel. I'll like it even more if it in some way ties into the movie instead of just an outline of the plot. Like, if some character says those exact words during the movie. I'm sucker for that kinda thing. Not that I'm going to see this movie or even watch the trailer. Last edited by tanjo : 09-14-2006 at 09:34 PM. |
