Recording Netflix?

So I have a netflix subscription and they have the new "watch instantly" feature which allows you to watch certain movies/shows on your PC.

The catch is there is a time limit ( in hours ) that relates directly to your monthly payment.

Sooo, is there anyway to be able to record the video that is playing and save it to my PC?

Any ideas??

Holy hell Hachima - that is a LOT of work.

I guess I'm not quite understanding why the OP wouldn't just spend the money on a Usenet account rather than Netflix and have all the movies you want for download in a format that kicks ass, wider selection, and not have to deal with Netflix's BS. *shrug*

Note that the post linked above assumes that you have an unlimited account at giganews, which is $25/mo. Combined with the newzbin account it mentions it's about $27/mo in total.

The ISP suspension for bandwidth over-usage is free though, right?

If you use less than 30GB a month then Easynews is a vastly better choice at only $9.98 a month (and also removes any need for a newzbin account as well).

And since most/all ISPs use traffic shaping on nntp you really don't have to worry much about getting banned for usage, unless of course you use encryption to bypass their shaping filters and get caught.
