I can't wait! I hope there is a sequel where the entire movie is the "5 minute" fight with Frieza. In Dragonball Z something can never take too long.

As long as it has the Turtle Hermit Dance like the other live-action Dragonball, it shall be worth the pain.

what.

It should read:

[GOKU] 6 years old, Goku doesn't go to school, but he is in fact an extremely talented martial arts fighter who gets rigorous training from his adopted grandfather, Gohan. After the death of his grandfather by himself when he transformed into King Kong, Goku accidentally meets with Master Roshi and gathers all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) for Bulma, and then fights with emporer pilaf who wants the balls for world domination.

Trained by Master Roshi, aided by Bulma and Yamcha, friends he meets along the way, Goku proves himself a formidable, almost undefeatable fighter. On many dangerous adventures to find the remaining Dragon Balls and thus save the world, Goku conquers physical and emotional challenges, ultimately saving the world but clearly impelled to spend his life searching for the Dragon Balls with his trusty companions...LEAD
Karate kid with a dragon ball element to it? Ugh. UGH.

The live action film is combining elements from all of the different visions of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z without being afraid to make significant changes.
So they're doing a 512-episode anime that spans 2 series and 30+ years in one movie?

This is going to almost make Uwe Boll watchable.

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE EE
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE E
HAAAAa.....

WILL GOKU FINISH THE MIGHTY KAMEHAMEHA WAVE? OR WILL VEGITA MAKE GOKU WAVE GOODBYE? STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT EXCITING EPISODE OF
DRAGON BALL ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz!

In all seriousness, I used to like the humor on that show the most. Like the Trunks episode where Future Trunks tells Goku that Vegita and Bulma hook up, then Goku falls on his ass and Vegita, watching in the distance, goes "Amazing! He knocked down Kakarot by only pointing his finger!!"

Heh, there's really not much depth to Dragonball, so it wouldn't be hard to incorporate different aspects from all the parts into it.

Really all they need to do to make this movie watchable is have wide angle shots of Goku fighting. If they make him emo that'd be terrible. He's the opposite of emo. It's stupid that they said "Goku is considered uncool and unpopular at school" because that was never ever a factor in the series. Everyone liked him wherever he went, and he didn't care about them. Hell, he was so likable that most of his enemies turned to be his best friends. The pig, the wolf dude, Piccolo, Vegeta...

His wife, who adored him, was more or less neglected because he didn't care about anything but fighting badass dudes, it's the opposite of emo. In the end he ditched his entire lame ass family and friends to go hang out with some Indian kid who he thought might be the reincarnation of his greatest enemy. Seriously, what the hell.

If they cut out all the filler... they MIGHT make it to the 2 hour mark.
