Things that make you go Huh?

So I'm watching the Star Wars films last night, and I get to the part where the Falcon goes and hides inside the asteroid, unknowingly inside that giant worm. Out of the ship walk Han and Leah with... gas masks on. This has always bothered me everytime I see it. Here they are, in space, in normal clothes. Does this not bother anyone else?

I mentioned this to a friend, and he brought out the idea they might be inside the Falcon's shield. But as shown elsewhere in the film, shields don't stop physical matter, just energy. So wtf?

Shit like this just annoys me a bit as it feels like the director has no respect for the intelligence of the audience.

I'm not a big star wars fan, but the Millennium Falcon's shields are actually also destined to protect again space debris, giving it the notion that it doesn't protect again physical objects. However, something like a missile apparently can easily tear through it.

little green guys lifting space ships is clearly more believable than space monsters having an in-built atmosphere within their stomachs, right?

But then they'd know they were in a space monster...

Perhaps the asteroid field had somewhat of an atmosphere... or mitochlorians shielded their bodies against the vacuum and cold of space...

the taxi in Godzilla

no magic, paranormal or divine power will ever justify the fact it was still running after falling from 10m three times

just the last shity thing of a shity movie

EDIT- the entire idea of Waterworld. if every single particle of water would melt/drop, the sea would increase only 30m....not 10km !

Unless, of course, a giant ice meteor gently found it's way to earth and melted in atmosphere, thereby providing the extra 9,970m of water required to have all but Everest/Nepal underwater!

And technically, since the earth is an egg, not a sphere, the highest point on earth is a mountain in Ecuador. That place might not be under water either in Waterworld!

I guess you are asking if it is possible to be in space with only a breathing apparatus and nothing else?

There are some that say yes, this is possible. Space suits have little to no radiation shielding, and are meant more to regulate body temperature and provide a comfortable pressure etc. If you follow proper pressurization procedures and the temperature was bearable, there would only be a need for breathing apparatus while walking around say on the surface of the moon or mars.

My two favorites are in The Eraser where a security door of some sort is opened by blasting the digicode on the wall with a shootgun and of course the amazing ending: the whole movie is about protecting a witness for a trial to take place and when that can finaly happen Arnie kills the guys that will be prosecuted. WTF indeed.

Biggest WTF moment ever, is in Jurassic Park. With the T-Rex. Cage. Cliff appearing....you guys know exactly what I'm talking about.

WHY THE FUCK DID THE CLIFF APPEAR WHEN THE T-REX GOT OUT OF HIS CAGE? IT WAS SOLID GROUND 2 MINUTES BEFORE.

There's a rad article on the Death Star's trash compactor, and how it makes no sense.

The "best" part in Eraser was when they explained the weapons as using magnetic power to shooting aluminum discs close to the speed of light.... huh indeed.
