+19 Internets | Idiocracy A link to a short clip was linked in another thread here, so I was wondering if anyone has seen it. It's available on DVD now and looks to be pretty funny. Trailer: Worth buying? |

| yup not worth paying for but definately worth torrenting. as prescient said the biggest issue with the film is for such a stupid premise it logically makes sense. Just like how eventually abortion will be illegal as legal abortions leads to lower population growth of abortion supporters, versus anti-abortion people reproducing more. |

| I enjoyed it. it was kind of a stealth release, I think the studio didn't want to piss off Walmart... and Americans... and the government... But yeah, kind of a sad indictment of society. I heard Pixar's new movie coming out next year has similar themes, although more environmentally focused. meh, not sure what to think. |

| It's got a few moments here and there, but it falls way short of Judge's opus that is Office Space. The intro is funny because it's true ;( I also like some of the subtle details "If you don't smoke our cigs, fuck you!!!".

| It's either: A) An amusing indictment of society, where you think "haha that's ridiculous and funny" or B) A sad portent that is not so much funny as depressing. My first viewing fell into A, but as discussion has come up since then (and the intro has been re-linked time and time again) my opinion has fallen into the B category. Someone link a study done by those gay-fag scientists that shows intelligence prevailing in the future and not being overrun by stupidity. |

+9 Internets | It's fun to watch and see all the things that Mike Judge thinks are dumbing down the world. Basically everything still functioning in the future. I like the fact that everyone is ultra-aggressive=)

+19 Internets | The movie is on my playlist when I go to sleep. I enjoyed it for what it was and it's one of those movies to me that relaxes me when I sleep because I don't need to keep my eyes open to watch it. |

+8 Internets | I can never decide if this movie is making fun of me or trying to warn me. It's both, most likely. I mostly get mad. Some parts are satirical to the point of genius. Others to the point of hitting you in the face with the claw end of a hammer. All in all, I do suggest people watch this. But do it when you're in a mood to laugh.
