| I saw the preview for this on the 300 dvd. I tried watching Blade Runner a few times and found it incredibly boring so i turned it off. Does anyone like this movie? Like it enough to buy this new version? |

+25 Internets | This is an absolute classic sci fi movie and it turns out for some strange reason I don't own it yet so I'll probably buy this upcoming version. Personally, I prefer to think of Deckard as not a replicant, since that gives so much more meaning to the Roy's action. He saves him because he has come to value any and all life, including his enemey. If Deckard was a replicant, then there's the possible implication that Roy onlyu saved him because he was saving one of his own. Also, Roy's last speach is one of the best bits of writting, imo. In just a few sentences he adds so much depth to the universe that the story is set in. It's up there the clone wars phrase from A New Hope. |

+25 Internets | Talking about different versions of Bladerunner, there is a thing I am pretty sure I saw in one viewing and did not see in a later viewing: Sebastian (the genetician that craft toy robots) has a big closet filled with the same clothes and he says it is to "reduce the psychological constraint of choice". I dreamed this sequence or is it from another movie?

The book is so incredibly better, and this whole movie basically just squashes on the story in the book. Its horrible and hard to stay awake for. | |

| heh I bought an LD player for the firs Criterion edition of the director's cut back in the day. If this version turns out to be an HD blueray of that criterion print it would be well worth it. |
