The Joker is Dead!
Just heard on the radio that Heath Ledger was found dead in a manhattan appartment. No details yet.

Was the Batman movie where he played the Joker done filming?

Wow. No idea if filming wrapped up.

I do know that to get into the role of the Joker he went through some psychotic training regimen, that now obviously included drugs.

He went into solitary confinement to prepare for the role for around 30 days. It is now obvious that for those 30 days he was using speed to enter states of psychosis. That is a shame.

He couldn't kick the habit after/during filming.

Id bank on cardiac arrest or CNS depression, stopping his breathing. You have to use downers (can range from tranquilizers to heroin) when coming off a speed binge like Heath was on.

The man was dedicated to the role, and from what I hear did an astounding job. Nobody could even tell that was Heath Ledger. He was the Joker.
