X-Files : Part Deux

Heard on Sirius today that X-Files 2 starts shooting soon with both David and Gillian on board.

Any more information on this?

Is this a good time to bring back x-files? IMO this is about 5 years too late. Should have done it when x-files was popular and still a recognizable name. I bet if I ask my 17 year old brother about the x-files movie / series he wont be able to recognize it.

To me, if your going to see this movie, you are a fan. How can you expect joe public to even remotely remember what happened in the first one, let alone the story leading up to the first movie.

Or maybe it will be a movie about Big Foot.../shrug

Not sure why Hollywood is doing this. I mean FOX is releasing the Simpsons movie like 10 years too late. Who knows, maybe it'll be good. We might see more of this stuff. You know if 5 years they may do another Firefly. (snicker, duck, run).

It should definitely be called "Part Deux" and have Charlie Sheen in it.

I kinda hope it's just a movie-length X-file. The actual story-line was blegh in the last years, so things tied to it are made of fail.

Unless the Gunmen come back as Zombies.

So far, so good...

I think that if they did it when it was "most appropriate," as you guys are calling it, it would have seemed like it was being milked for all it was worth before it became unpopular. I think that enough time has passed that they can take their time with it rather than making the movie with the sole purpose of being recognizable.

Or maybe it's just my bleak optimism that the producers would care about movie quality over profits.

I never really understood all the love for X-files. It was mildly appealing it's first season and there were a few gems (I liked the nerds :[) but overall, meh....

The movie was horrible too :|

I liked the first movie.. or maybe it was just the hot young girl that got me into the pre-release screening then after.. well, yeah that was probably it.
