That Popular Mechanics article fails to mention any of the major points brought up in the 9/11 conspiracy films, i.e. an entire flight vaporizing on contact from jet fuel, etc. It also attempts to use people who scream "PEOPLE DIED!" as their "Stop asking questions" stance.
It fails to mention ANY of the major points? Like the melting point of steel? Give me a break dude. So what you're telling me is that you think Popular Mechanics is part of a cover up?

Not really going to get into, as I don't believe everything that the conspiracy theorists say, just as I believe a lot of what the government tells us is a lot of BS. Watch some of the videos, do your own research, listen to the initial reports of the people who witnessed shit firsthand, and draw your own conclusions. I for one am not going to line up and say "Yes sir", nod my head, and continue on my way.

Also if you're that determined to believe that 9/11 was an inside job or a result of a Zionist conspiracy you need psychological help. It astounds me how often the Internet makes me ashamed to be a human.

Journalism has turned into something akin to political commentary. Its fully accepted that now adays you badger a person your interviewing until they say what you want them to say, and interrupt them from saying anything against what you want. At best its really despicable- and all major news channels follow this motto now adays.

First problem I have is 9 of the hijackers are alive and well, although, one of those 9 people's passports somehow managed to eject from the airplane that crashed into one of the Towers unscathed to get the guys name to put on a list.

o.O

I'm done after this though, other people can continue, I have my beliefs and ideas, you obviously have yours.

That Saddam had anything to do with them.

I personally think the willingness to unabashedly and blindly believe in these conspiracy theories is related to a feeling of helplessness. It's kind of like religion for some people. Belief in a higher power -- malevolent or benevolent -- makes some people (conspiracy lovers) feel like there's some order in the world, even if it's not an order they necessarily like.

But that's just a cool way to marginalize them and anything they say.

So, you can't substantiate anything? Like I said in a previous post, you're taking something that can be explained through less nefarious reasoning and instead ascribe it to some malevolent higher power who controls our lives. I've read reports that some of the hijackers were in fact misidentified and the record was never publically set straight, but to use that as a springboard to proclaim that Bushitler and/or Cheney's Shadow Government and Halliburton Blood->Oil Alchemy Incorporated personally ordered the destruction of the World Trade Centers using cruise missiles and shot down Flight 93 with a Sidewinder is reaching just a tiny, tiny bit.

Why don't they do a bullshit video picking apart a full 9/11 documentary or more than one firefighter.
Because they dont fucking need to, which is the fucking point. None of these "conspiracy theorists" have ever proven anything, other than using half-baked science to try and make people believe this load of horseshit. It's the classic case of just using Occam's Razor . What is more plausible, some terrorists hijacked planes and crashed them into buildings to cause as much death and chaos as possible to something they hate, or a graaaaaaaaaaaand govt coverup, which would include thousands of people and have the leaders of our country mass killing its own citizens.

It's beyond ridiculous to even give those people the time of day, and insulting to the people who did lose their lives. Get fucking real.

Here's your sign.

/sigh

I guess I was wrong. I don't claim to know what happened. I don't claim that conspiracy theorists are giving us the truth, as mandated from the heavens. There are a lot of holes in their shit, but there is a lot of holes in the shit the government spews out. Not sure if you are actually in Iraq or not, but if you are, I'm sorry you're there. I've lost friends there when the deployed, it's not a good time and I'm pissed Bush decided to use national tragedy to platform for unconstitutional powers and to wage a self-righteous war.

Again, I do not claim what they say is truth, but I also don't follow the words of a nitwit puppet.

That's because they trivialize disaster. I would feel the same way about any conspiracy theories about the, what 1985? Challenger explosion or what have you. I do take it personally =) I think conspiracy theories are by and large the product of intelligent but bored people who WANT to see conspiracy, and then propogated by other bored people thanks to the Internet. Don't you all think it's a little strange that any time anything bad happens in the news there are immediately conspiracy theories? Doesn't that make you think there's a social phenomenon going on here fueled by the Internet?

Occam's Razor was exactly what I was trying to think of but couldn't.
