I think he means that those most recent drawings you did have a realistic/proportioned body but a chibi head (i.e., a head with no nose). Long story short, I think he's asking you to slap some noses on their heads.

Like I said, this is your call to make. I think they look fine without noses, and would look fine with noses. So whatever you think is the best way to go totally gets my blessing.

Also: I don't mind the remote. TiVos have remotes, after all. If you wanted to place me on a couch in that pose alongside a little TiVo logo guy, that's fine. Or if you just want to make that remote look more like a TiVo remote, that's fine. Up to you.

Ah. I understood the term "chibi" differently I guess. Heres how I assumed chibi was Chibi Tutorial Basically your sig and my last drawings are like Chibi and a half with what I was understanding chibi to be. ^_^

Anyhow I have even less of an opinion on the addition of noses as you do

Those angles I'd probably just tack one of those triangle shadows to hint at a nose anyway

Couch and TiVo logo could work. Not certain I could sneak a tenticle or various other Japan-fun in that idea though, which is probably good for you but bad for everyone else

You could save it for the Book version of Millie, where she's reading HENTAI MANGA! And you could use the "Sig Millie" pose where she's got the tentacle porn in one hand, and a thumbs up with her other hand. Fanservice + relevance = win!

P.S. - The Kama Sutra one was funny, but you should've stuck a slight "innocent" blush on the face and maybe a burning heart instead of ?! in a thought-bubble. ... I really have way too much time on my hands if I'm thinking about this.

P.S.S. - I think for the TV Millie you should have her drawn up as a character from House (get it?!).

If you want to take part in a serious discussion about the banners, please try to keep things from getting too blatantly sexual/perverted. On the other hand, if you're just here to beg Laladilya for Millie hentai, please do so on that anime chicks thread in Screenshots. I'm not going to put blatant hentai up on my banners.

In my defense though all of them minus the very first tenticle-millie have been pretty blatent tack-ons expected to be removed (aka the reason she doesn't have a very matching face expression while reading Kama Sutra)

That is a really cool picture. Kind of freaky, and yet, kind of cute at the same time. Your work has a sort of cuteness about it that I think is refreshing. I realize that's probably not what you want to hear, but hey, I dig it.

Also: I'm not stopping you from adding silly Japanese-inspired cheesecake-type stuff to the banners. All I'm saying is that it should be done within reason. It's fine to make the images sexy, but let's not go overboard and have them be purely sexual. If that makes any sense.

I think you've been doing a great job toeing that line so far. So my comment about "no hentai" wasn't really directed at you, so much as it was directed at comments like "LOL show us her ass!!!1" a few posts above. Like I said: I think your work is fun and funny, and if you really want to go there, I can take a joke and won't be uptight about it. But if you do decide to go there, let's save it for that thread in Screenshots.

I do several different styles of things, but most of the time I do shoot for humor/cutesy type things. That picture up there didn't win the contest (got 4th place) primarily because the judges felt the demon guys were too cartoony looking for a torment inspired work. ^_^

That's a shame, because I think the genius of the pic is precisely that the demons and eyeballs are cutesy, while the subject matter is not. It's ironic and clever in a way that I think is more interesting than a straight-up picture of hyperrealistic demons torturing someone.

Your other pictures are really cool, as well. I think you're immensely talented, and I appreciate the time you're devoting to the banners.

I can't draw, but for the TV house I was thinking a shot of Millie sitting on a couch, watching TV intently while chowing down on a big bowl of popcorn. Some soda cans are strewn on the coffee table and all you can see of the TV is the back and the light-blue glow of it in the dark room. Then, on the right-third of the banner have "Millie's TV House" in some sort of text reminiscent of the 60s.

I have Book sketched out, just needs scanned and colored. Might have one for Music too but it still needs some tweaks. I tried using that remote Millie and making the TiVo/Couch etc idea but it's just didn't come out so hot. Going to just redraw it and think I'm going to try Cadrid's idea. Kinda a TV Land type thing. Hopefully I'll have 1 or 2 of those done this weekend.

In the meantime, I made an animated banner. Doesn't really fit here theme-wise since it was primarily just a filesize experiment. It was inspired from here but not all that much outside the fire. =P Reminds me of that anime part in Kill Bill actually. Anyhow kinda cool. And for those curious the filesize came out at 125kb on medium quality (which is the quality shown here).

Redrew it and turned it into a sort of Wolfen-trap by attaching a girl to it. Speedpaint anatomy study using a pic from the PGT thread. I probably would still be doing stick figures if it weren't for that thread actually. This didn't turn out the way i wanted it to at all so I hate it Background and the figures blend together too much but I want them to be ghosts =_= I should drop it off at conceptart.org or something and see what the proz say. That spoiler tag really kicks ass. Anyhow enough blatent attention whoring, back to banners

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: I think using the Final Fantasy font is my crowning achievement as far as unoriginality goes. Edit : in case anyone is unable to see it, it requires Flash 9 for no other reason than the fact that I couldn't remember how to do the AS2.0 code since moving to AS3.0. =/ Also I'm using the On2 VP6 codec and I think Flash 8 is as low as I could go with it anyway.
