I had kind of a weird epiphany on the subject of a banner:

Why not just go for "Millie OmniMedia" (teehee) and make it a global Millie's Whatever House, putting in caricatures of Millie with a small title (eg - ticketholding with "Movies" captioning her, 'House' Millie with "TV", and so on).

Just a thought.

And yes, we could have "Manga" Millie getting it on with her hentai self, just for James. =P

Because try as I might, I can never go to movies alone. I've done it a grand total of once in my life, and I was anxious and awkward about it the whole time. I need a date or a group. Some people are just like that, I guess.

See, to me, "Millie" (whoever she is) is holding a whip and forcing you to go to the movies and if you don't like it she'll bust out the blow torch and call a couple of pipe hitting niggers to go to work on the homes.

That's the Mille I see. Mille doesn't want you to go to the movies, Millie is only concerned with how she will hurt you if you don't go.

She is also concerned with how exactly she will get it on with herself and a tentacle.

It's like my grandpa always used to say: "Good Millie plus Dark Millie plus a tentacle is worth two in the bush."

Why do you get anxious/awkward being alone in a theatre? One of my friends is like that :O

I haven't found any good movie partners, I really prefer to go by myself. I hate it when I go with someone and they bitch about seats or they make me self-concious about getting snacks. Or worse yet, they don't understand plots. "Why doesn't he jus-" SHUT UP AND WATCH.

I don't know. I've just never been able to do it. I get too embarrassed. Also, I think there's a value to the social component of seeing movies with others. The movie becomes a shared experience, and your enjoyment of the movie is enhanced somehow because your friends are enjoying it. I don't know what the precise psychological principle is called, but I know there is one.

But seriously, I find that somewhat the same thing. I like going to packed showings of movies more than sparse ones, even if I'm with people I usually hangout with. It's weird. I'm not against going alone, though, I just like being there with a (lot) of other people.

Because tenticles don't get in for free !~ Real Answer: I have no clue. I didn't even think about that. If its clear enough to notice two tickets maybe its much more apparant than I thought. o.O

If that Millie on the movie banner is ok I'll leave it though. I'll still swap a popcorn in there just to be more clear of what she's doing. I think the only view that's really difficult in that particular chibi-style is a side view. Only cause I don't really know how its supposed to be done with no nose. o.O The angle I had that movie one it didn't look right without the nose which is sort of the issue. ^_^

I just tend to be more critical of my own stuff than anyone else is. That said, I'm sorta surprised my stuff is well recieved here. This board is usually more harsh than the art forums I read as far as crits go. I'll try to use a desaturated and mostly brown pallette next time and see what the responses are like.

Anyhow new stuffs, though no new banners yet. Middle one she's supposed to be holding a TV Remote. It's still uncolored in hopes someone comes up with a better idea than that for the TV House. :/ That book can be changed easily if needed. I need to do some tweaks on a few areas that are bothering me on it anyway.

You can't do chibi head with non-chibi body! Have to do the movie millie head if you're going with a proportioned body.

Millie is a high-tech woman living in a busy world, she doesn't have time for remotes. Maybe have her hugging a tivo. Tivo could be chibi-humanized (like the Div character from Penny-Arcade), I guess just imagine she's hugging a teddy bear but it's really a tivo.

I was going to say something about the book but I dont want to imply millie is some sort of intergalatic space hussy. I think a classic look like her behind a pile of stacked books. Maybe give her a harry potter-esque look, like when Lohan was hot and spoofed it on SNL.

ps. we might need a millie's art house! :X

I think these look really cute. Thank you! And honestly, whether you want to do chibi heads (no nose) or non-chibi (nose, etc.) is entirely up to you. Do whatever you think looks better. You've taken the time to do this stuff, and I think it looks amazing, so I'm not going to force your hand either way. Whatever style you're most comfortable with is totally cool.

Some suggestions:

- LOL @ the Kama Sutra, but I think we should make it a different book. I don't know or have any preference, but I don't think we should go too hentai with these banners. Or, as Zarcath puts it (rather hilariously), I don't want people to think I'm some sort of "intergalactic space hussy."

- The TV House pic is fine with me. Maybe add a couch or something in the final banner? Not sure. Up to you.

Hmmm, which one is lookin' like a chibi-head and a proportioned body? Or do both of them? I assume the head is not it, as it doesn't have a body ~

TiVo idea might be a good call, certainly better than a remote. I actually really like the book idea since it takes care of the background of the banner.

Art House would be cool but it doesn't appear that very many people here draw
