+8 Internets | Saw this earlier tonight. Despite a few cheesy moments, it was mostly brilliant. My bro and his mate agreed with me completely. General consensus amongst those leaving the cinema was positive. I was worried about some of the casting choices, but they all seemed to work for me. Karl Urban was perfect as Bones. Can't think of anyone better for the role. Looks like the first big hit of the summer. |

Good times. I hope it does well enough for more movies.

| Just saw a advance screening of this up here, and it was very good. Oh I am sure there will be uppity original Trek nerds raging over some of the stuff, but I thought it was a refreshing reboot of the IP. Expect this movie to rake in the cash BTW I agree Karl Urban as Bones was a brilliant casting choice |

| since when did uppity become synonymous with having intelligence and not dragging your knuckles on the ground? i guess word usage does change over time. if only those monkeys would just be more uppity. |

| Haven't seen it yet, but this is just a great review line: "Abrams's triumph is that he will expand the fan base without alientating the faithful." |
