Abrams' upcoming "Star Trek" film reports Variety. The wife of late Trek creator Gene Roddenbery, the actress has provided the voice of the various computers of the Federation in four of the TV series and several of the films. The actress appeared on screen as Dr. McCoy's assistant Nurse Chapel in the original series, and Deanna Troi's eccentric mother Lwaxana on "The Next Generation" and "Deep Space Nine".
