There is no Unrated version. In the special features Sly says he sent the first cut to the MMA and they approved it. The special features build on the story somewhat like the relationship between Sarah and dickhead missionary John.


The rated R is the NC-17 version due to it's political undertones of ongoing conflict.

Under Siege? that movie is tame compared to Rambo4. Segal's most hardcore movie is Marked For Death, which is 90 minutes of Segal killing jamaican scumbags. that movie is so blatantly racist they had to put a disclaimer at the beginning of the film saying even tho the whole movie depicts all jamaicans as dirty voodoo worshipping junkies they acknowledge there are a few nice ones, here and there.

Here's your mistake, bud. I wasn't comparing the two. I was commenting on the throat ripping, which Segal did, and my memory seems to tell me it was fairly graphic. I was just saying Stallone wasn't the first to do so, that's it.

The throat rip in Under Seige and even Road House both were done with quick camera shots and minimal gore.

I really liked John Rambo. I thought it wouldn't be nearly as good a finale as Rocky Balboa but for what the series was I think Stallone did an incredible job showing the brutality of war and closing the story line of Rambo. I don't think that's a spoiler because it should be expected that's all he was doing with his last 2 movies.

I think all the .50 cal body maiming shows exactly why the .50 cal is not supposed to be shot at humans alone by the geneva convention. You can shoot at vehicles but just owning a bunch of people in a fire fight even a fight with equal firepower and manpower both sides it's still brutal. Not saying I don't see the reality that war is hell regardless but I at least see the reason behind that geneva convention...

I really liked the bow and arrow scene where Rambo was ownin those fools w/ just arrows. That was like I am Rambo and even with a fukn bow I can pwn multiple people.

Stallone did an incredible job w/ maximum gore for maximum war effect in this movie. Reminds me of SPR in that respect. Most war movies just don't do justice to the maiming and devastation that war really is.
