| Jet Li is so boring and stupid. Romeo Must Die, Kiss of the Dragon, etc. Those movies were the biggest waste of my time since that phase of watching blacksploitation movies i went through. Crouching Tiger was far superior to any crappy jet li movie i've seen. And i can almost guarante Matrix 2 and 3 are going to suck ass compared to Matrix 1. |

| Fist of Legend owns. But of course it's an oriental kung-fu film starring Jet Li not a Hollywood knock-off. That said I think Romeo Must Die is about the best example of a Hollywood chop sokey flick. The fights in CTHD are annoyingly inconclusive even though the rest of the film is quality. |

| Eeew, DMX is in it. "Killing Zoe" had it all. Its one of the better action flicks ive seen. Bunch of doped up frenchmen rob a bank, very exciting...French people, you so craaazy! ;p ...I guess anime can get pretty action packed too, but I understand if you wont wanna consider that stuff as actual legit action since it takes the same budget to show the world blowing up as it takes to show Cletus the Slackjawed Yokel picking his nose. ;p Last edited by dak : 09-12-2002 at 10:58 AM. |

| On merit of pure action quality, this movie looks like it'll be pretty good. I can't say much about the plot, cause I've heard nothing of it. But there's some amazing action choreography, lots of vehicle stunts, gunfights, and of course Jet Li kicking the crap out of people. However, the action movie I'm looking forward to is Ballistic -- it's completely oldschool, no CGI, no silly wirework, no Matrix shots, no blue screens, just 100% pure bullets and explosions with real stunt people really there. (And the dude falling off the building onto the car is an amazing shot -- I got dizzy watching him fall) |

| Killing Zoe - Incredible flick, I loved it. Romeo Must Die - Incredible flick also, in terms of sheer crappiness. I had heard SO MUCH about Jet Li being this guy who made any action movie. Then I saw this. ![]() Once Upon a Time in China however...soooooo great. I wanted to elicit people's opinions on Iron Monkey by the way. I thought it was ridiculous and quite unfulfilling, but some people I went with thought it was great. They even rented it when it came out on video. It seems the only opinions I've heard of this movie are either, "grade a material!" or "what utter CRAP." |

| I hated Iron Monkey. But, I hate everything Jet Li is involved in. I'm not a fan of wires, trick filming, or computer edited action in a 'Martial Arts' movie. To put it plainly, I'm biased. But, on the other hand, I loved The Matrix. Which probably means that the only thing Iron Monkey had going for it were the ridiculously absurd fight scenes. The story was reminiscent of a bad version of Zorro or Robin Hood, stories which have been rehashed to the point of nausea. In short, if you don't like extravagant, impossible fight scenes, you won't like Iron Monkey. If you do, you're at least easily entertained, and probably a moron, so you'll like anything that will allow you to sit in a mindless stupor for two hours. This pile of shit fits that bill perfectly. But that's just my opinion. |

| Every american made Jet Li film has sucked ass, imo. Even Lethal Weapon 4 was the worst in the series. As for The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions, I'd be quick to agree with Ritkhan if it wasn't for one thing... Larry and Andy Wachowski. Well, I guess that's two. I fully expect the sequals to pwn. Course, I've been let down hard in the past *cough* Highlander 2 *cough*.

+25 Internets | Lethal Weapon 4 was a really good movie I thought. Maybe the action wasn't great, but I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time. The dentist scene and the cell phone scenes are totally classic. |

| I agree that Jet Li has sucked major ass in every american made movie he has been in. Although, i disagree about the Matrix sequels. I have faith in them for one main reason. Most sequels of movies normally dont live up to the original for one reason, a good story line/plot. Most sequels are just cranked out with a big budget because the first one did well. This is not the same though with the Matrix, and the only reason i have so much faith in the sequels is because the Wachowski brothers already had the whole storyline for all 3 movies made well before the first one ever came out. |
