+25 Internets | Thor? Ant-Man? Thor I can see being cool, but how do you make it a Marvel movie and not a Norse Mythology movie? Ant-Man... Hank Pym is cool, but holy crap, they're giving a feature film to a character that NO ONE has heard of outside M:TG tournaments 10 years ago.

In other words, make people want to see it because Marvel make entertaining movies, then release Thor which is a THOR movie, not a Norse mythology movie. They probably would love comic fans leaving pleased than historians and Norse Mythos geeks giving it a thumbs up. | |

| Proud Communist | Thor you pull off by having a disabled scientist discover his heritage, a jaunt back to Norseland, finding Mjolnir, and then whipping someone's ass. For the Avengers, I think it makes sense for Thor, Iron Man and Captain America to have to "subdue" the Hulk and persuade Banner to focus on controlling it and then join against some villain. Who knows. Last edited by GrobbeeTrull2.0 : 06-16-2008 at 02:49 PM. |

+3 Internets | Going to add my positive review to the pile as well. I loved the scenes from the experiment before the accident which were (according to my memory at least) dead on duplicates of the original TV series. I also was not distracted by CGI Hulk in the least. I used to be a Liv Tyler fan, before LotR, but she doesn't do it for me anymore, and I'd have much rather had Jennifer Connelly again. Still, a good movie all the way around. I particularly liked how at least some of the scenes were super fast and violent, like they really would be with something of the Hulk's power. For example, when he throws a sheet of steel at a vehicle faster than you can see and literally rips it in half, that's the sort of thing I'm talking about. I can only imagine what 50 years from now might look like, but I am thankful that I still enjoy movies in a time when special effects are *close* to looking realistic. Twenty years ago a Hulk movie would have looked like ass. While special effects don't guarantee a good movie, they help me suspend my disbelief and enjoy the rest of the story more. Marvel did a fantastic job with both Iron Man and Hulk making me believe that what is happening on the screen is "real." |

| you never know saw it yesterday with my son, i liked it almost as much as iron man. A LOT and i mean A LOT of tie-in's blurbs and "honoring" of older material, like for instance the chair was pure TV series specific, loved Lou F. as the Guard. liked how they explained how he keeps his PANTS whole on transformation etc. didn't like Liv tyler in the movie her part seemed to be forced, cannot wait to see the extended version on bluray/dvd... liked how they setup the capt america possibilities for the upcoming movie. if iron man is an A+ movie, Hulk is a solid A-/B+ significantly better than most of the bad superhero movies, not quite as good as the best of the superhero genre movies. |

| Way better then the first hulk movie. They put the focus of movie on the important factors of hulk mythology unlike first. Banner just being a depressed drifter doing everything he can to not become hulk while being hunted by a power obsessed General Ross who puts his hate for the hulk ahead of the safety of his own daughter. The first was to fixated on hulks origin when his origin is really nothing more then a plot device to get us to themes comics tv series and second movie focused upon. It would be like making the first spider-man movies and having 90% of it being about the spider that bit peter and gave him his power. The first also spent to much time trying to explain Bruce's repressed anger the idiots didn't understand your not supposed to understand root cause of why hulk is so angry your supposed to project your own root cause of your anger into the hulk and revel in the unstoppable destruction that happens. |

| i was mixed. I liked the 1st movie's 15 foot tall angrier=stronger Hulk,Jennifer Connelly and Sam Elliott. Norton was great as always, hell it could just been about him running around in South America and i was be happy. The story was better, but i didn't like the ending that much at all. |
