| Yeah the rally race was different ,some of the guys did die in that I.E. speeds brother fake death. This movie really starts to kick in when Speed joins the rally. I really liked when him and Trixie were arguing while they were racing, and then speed sees she is in trouble and goes ballistic.

| Saw this tonight... last half of the movie was great, first half was excruciating. The progression of the movie actually went, terrible --> good ---> very good. I realize that it helped build the story, but they could have cut out around 45 minutes of Richmond facility tours and made the movie that much better overall. Also, anyone else think that "Cannonball's" car was based on the Audi RX8?

+2 Internets | Thought it was middling. Bridal or however his name is spelled and Chim Chim were excruciatingly painful. Either the acting or the directing of the kid just enraged me. The whole thing needed to either be more serious or more kiddied up. I mean, while I found "Get that weak shit off my track" hysterical....in a kids movie? Really? The movie didn't know what it wanted to be and has to be an example of the most inept advertising I've ever seen. Racer X was the win, though. |

| Saw it, liked it. Was more serious than I thought it was going to be, which is a good thing. Although it did seem weird like an above poster stated having the seriousness/slightly more mature content spliced in with kiddie laugh stuff. |

| The race scenes were fun. Everything else was nearly unbearable. Acting was terrible, story was stupid, dialog was retarded. I did like watching the races though. John Goodman has always been fat but he is like approaching bedridden morbidly obese in this movie. He's got sheets of flab hanging all over him. By halfway through the movie I was praying for the little kid and the monkey to get hit by a bus. |

| Movie was quite a surprise. I expected suck and got incredibly awesome. Granted I am judging the movie on what it is and what it was trying to do without some deep-seeded love for the original cartoons which I turned off more often than I watched as a kid. If you have any excuse to see it (kids, family, neighbors kids) or just want to make one up.. go do it. Don't be ashamed.

+2 Internets | Despite its many flaws, if you intend at all to see it, I'd heavily recommend going to the theater. There is so much going on during the races and it is so frenetic (borderline seizure inducing), I can't see it being ANY good on a home screen. Even a huge high def doesn't seem like it would be enough. I actually consider it a negative how much was going on on the screen during parts of the race due to eventually having to see it on home TV's. |
