| Emma Watson signs for last 2 movies SCI FI Wire | The News Service of the SCI FI Channel Watson Signs For Final Potters Putting to rest rumors that Emma Watson was waffling about returning to the Harry Potter franchise, Warner Brothers on March 23 announced that it has formally signed Watson and her two co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, for the final two films in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Watson will reprise the role of Hermione Granger, which she has played in the five Potter films so far, while Radcliffe will again play Harry Potter and Grint will be Ron Weasley. The announcement lays to rest rumors first reported in the British tabloids that Watson was considering dropping out of the series that made her a star. It was an open question, as the stars had yet to sign contracts for the final films, but Friday's announcement by Jeff Robinov, president of production at Warner Brothers Pictures, would appear to settle the matter. "I could never let Hermione go—she is my hero!" Watson said in a statement. "I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honored to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films." In his own statement, Robinov said: "When Daniel, Rupert and Emma were first cast as Harry, Ron and Hermione, we knew they were not only talented, but had a very special chemistry. Through the years, and in each of the Harry Potter films, we have watched them grow into extraordinary young adults, as well as remarkable actors. It would be inconceivable to imagine anyone else in the roles with which they have become so identified, so we are thrilled and proud that Daniel, Rupert and Emma have chosen to complete the arc of their characters in the final two films." The last two Potter movies are based on the J.K. Rowling books of the same name; Deathly Hallows, the much-anticipated final volume, is due in bookstores on July 21. David Heyman, who has produced all of the Potter films to date, will produce the final two as well. David Barron, who served as an executive producer on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and is a producer on the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will also be producing the final two installments of the franchise. Order of the Phoenix, the fifth film in the series, is slated for release in the United States on July 13. |

It seemed to me the other three had a lot more wonderous things to them, the third was just dark and didn't really have anything to make the school look like the wonderful place it is portrayed as in the books. It didn't help that the time turner was sort of a silly trick, and that for no reason at all the school grounds went from being flat to being this rocky, hilly mess. Breaking continuity like that was jarring, oh, and I hated the divination teacher, didn't think she fit the part really. Lupin was great, best DATDA teacher in the series, how they exposed wormtail was great, Severus was great as always, it was just missing big scenes like the quidditch match or dragon in the 4rth etc. and just replaced them all with drab stuff that didn't show anything as to why Harry would actually LIKE Hogwarts. | |

| I thought the dragon scene was so annoying. They spent like 10 minutes on this dragon scene that did NOTHING to further the plot and left out instead 10 minutes of plot that was VITAL to the fourth movie. |
