Oddly, I wanted to see Wahlberg win.

I go from fucking hating 'Marky Mark' in the 90's to respecting Mark Wahlberg in the 00's.

Go figure. He's a fucking good actor, whether I like it or not.

Two things i noted and laughed at:

Peter O'Toole looked pissed when he didnt win and you can see when Spielberg tells Martin that the Departed won, martin makes a "wait, what?" motion.

Also i thought that K-fed commercial was $

Understandable really, The Departed was the only one of the 5 nominees I saw so I can't say if it really was the best or not, it was good but not great.

If you were making a Top 5 Martin Scorsese Movies list I don't think The Departed would make the cut.

Yeah it's funny everyone was praising everyone in the departed all night but Marky mark never really got props. If I remember though MS's old stuff had much stiffer competition, this time if it wasn't him or Eastwood it would've been highway robbery.

I love Mark Wahlberg, but I think his part was just too small to win. He's great at what he does in it, but he vanishes during the last 45 minutes give or take, and doesn't show up again until the end.

I completely agree, he was great in it, but with who he was up against you really couldn't win with his limited amount of screentime.

For anyone that questions him as an actor. Watch Boogie Nights, its an amazing film.

I didn't watch it but Pan's Labyrinth beating Children of Men in cinematography seems like a steal. Good to see Little Miss Sunshine getting recognition though. Is The Queen as good as the awards are making it seem? I'll just assume that Dreamgirls isn't.

EDIT: I did watch Pan's Labyrinth, I just didn't watch the awards show. I just re-read that and it's a little bit confusing.

I had the idea that maybe dreamgirls would have to pay for Eddy's last few movies so that they could break even on the next one appearntly i was incorrect.

I did enjoy it however, not sure about the Queen. I can't stop thinking "i saw this bitch's bush in Caligula"

Sometimes when I get really really trashed I do Caligula's hunting dance. True story.

And Candiarie is right Pan's Labyrinth over Children of Men for cinematography was a damn shame.

It was retold to me that I was marching around my house wearing only a cape screaming "JUPITER LOVES ME", and making my friends kiss my huge ass fake bling ring last weekend

The fact that Daron Aronofsky's "The Fountain" wasn't nominated for anything really shows you how shitty and "Hollywood" the Oscars are now days. What a shame.
