I finished Goodkind's books mostly because i just wanted closure and it was a quick read. One can get through long predictable monologues very fast. Also I never though seeker was a good show, I just watched a few episodes here and there out of curiosity as one of the very few fantasy tv shows out there.

If there was a wheel of time, malazan, or even less dense books like mistborn, etc. it'd be better but it's not like we have a choice in that.

If I passed by and glimpsed at a ugly chick does that mean my goddamn taste in women is terrible?

Beautiful! Looking forward to this movie as well as his Battle Angel. Looks like JC is just rearin' to go again, been out of the movie scope too long it seems. Potential to take over T5 as well!

On the apple movie trailers site: Apple - Movie Trailers it has a countdown for the Avatar trailer and it is around 1 day 14 hours till the debut. My question I have is: Is this new footage or the same trailer that was released months earlier at comiccon?

Also I have other question which is based on an a full page ad on page 25 of this week's issue of Newsweek (In Search of Aliens issue) where James Cameron said: "Soon audiences will associate 3-D with the highest level of visual content in the market and seek out that premium experience." My question is: Is Avatar in 3-D?

EDIT: I saw this on wikipedia: "Avatar is an upcoming 3-D science fiction epic film directed by James Cameron, due to be released on December 18, 2009. Avatar was filmed using newly developed 3D virtual cameras, which would produce stereoscopic 3D images simulating human sight."

Sounds EPIC. Which is what I expect from James Cameron.

EDIT #2: "James Cameron announced at the Comic-Con Avatar Panel that August 21st will be 'Avatar Day'. On this day the trailer for the film will be released in all theatrical formats. Selected IMAX and digital 3D cinemas around the world will be screening, free of charge, a 16 minute preview of the film created by Cameron."

-Holy Shit!!! This better be in a theater near me.

the signups for that free preview in Imax went up yesterday and were sold out in minutes pretty much (the site even crashed after a few minutes). Good luck getting a ticket now...

That gas giant planet looks exactly like Jupiter....

Obviously its a shot of a moon with its companion gas giant, but that gas giant looks awfully like Jupiter.

You're thinking of the other Avatar film based on an anime by M Night Shylaman. This is a totally different beast altogether.

With a resume of Terminator, Aliens, Terminator 2, The Abyss, True Lies, and Titanic, all of which are AMAZING and groundbreaking movies how can you even doubt James Cameron for a second? This isn't Michael Bay or Uwe Bol we are talking about here.

lol, apparently so. That would be what I was referencing, this looks somewhat interesting and not doomed to suck.
