Question: Has anyone heard a voice for a transformer yet? Will there be voices? Or are the probably still doing post-production to get a good robot sound effect to the,?

That new trailer has me geeked beyond belief, I am so ready for this.

There was that leaked trailer (later became official? not sure) which had optimus prime talking. Scroll back in this thread, should be there, or go look for it. It had him without the mask too and looked fucked up. Let's hope they heard about it and put the mask back on =x

This new trailer is nothing short of amazing. The action and the music give an epic feeling to this trailer that I have rarely seen in the previous decade. I've never been much interested in Transformers (it was not quite as big over here as it was in the US) but this new trailer has me completely hooked.

The designs look largely inspired (though I'm sure most hardcore fans are disappointed by some changes, but if it can make your favorite characters look badass instead of corny due to old age, then why not?) but I really love how they seem to be using every little detail of each machine to create an action scene around that particular feature. The Decepticon chasing that bus on the highway looks really badass too, and I can't wait to see that city battle scene in the actual movie, looks badass beyond words.

July already!

The Transformers will definately have voices. Hugo Weaving is the voice of Megatron, and I believe Optimus is voiced by the same person that voiced him back then. Bumblebee is mute, apparently from damage taken in battle.

The unofficial leaked teaser that had Optimus talking had quite a good voice I thought, and I never really noticed the so-called "horrid" lips that I see several people complaining about. However, if that is worrying you, you'll notice that in the newest trailer, Optimus' face plate comes on right after he transforms into "humanoid" form, so perhaps they decided to keep him masked.

Peter Cullen is Optimus. He is the original VA.

There are rumors that Jazz will be done by Will Smith. I havent heard anything else for any of the other bots.
