| Picked up the DVD version today. I would have gotten HD but Paramount doesn't do Blu-ray so fuck them I saved 20 bucks anyways. I would recommend watching in a surround sound setting, as anything less will distract from what you remember in the theater. There were some extended battle / destruction scenes included, specifically Devastator took a lot more effort to bring down and I believe the odd clip of Barricade was removed. Unfortunately, Blackout still gets punked by just human fire. I suppose it's possible he wasn't killed, but he definitely didn't get much credit. Optimus and Megatron had some longer fight scenes and they showed MT getting hammered near the end. The continuity of the extended scenes did seem a little off, so the theater version was smoother, but most fans would have preferred more action, action, action either way. With any luck the human element backstory BS is done with this first one and the sequel(s) can just let it all the goodness come out.

| Thinking back, didn't the decepticons have a secret base on the bottom of the sea, and didn't some of them get dumped in the ocean in the t.v series (or comics) and it was right on top of the base ? And btw, Bay had his spat but is still on the Transformers 2 project. Well thats what that link says (would of been nice if he wasn't but oh well). |

+18 Internets | Got the HD-DVD as my first HD-DVD. Was more then disappointed in the extras...coming soon, wtf? Feeling the room shake as Prime begins "BEFORE TIME BEGAN..THERE WAS..THE CUBE" is still fun, though. Wish I was more of a tech nerd, though, to know if I wasted my money on the HD-DVD drive for the X-box. |

| They managed it in Fifth Element, Aliens and Terminator. All A++ movies as far as I am concerned. Transformers is just not in that league, its just another special effects movie thats all, hopefully number 2 can be an A++ movie. |
