oh, something I didn't understand is why the Cube turned machines into what seemed like innately evil robots? Wouldn't they be neutral? or do they have to be reprogrammed for good by Optimus? or what? | |

+46 Internets | Been a while since I read the origins but here is the way I thought it went. The transformers were created by an intelligent form of aliens and then They disapeared. The alspark/Matrix is the source of power. I took it as the Alspark makes things more technologically advanced but doesnt give them intelligence. |

+46 Internets | How is that story the real origin? I found this bit about the two different origins. "The popularity of the idea is not universal within the Transformers fandom, and it notably flies in the face of the original animated show's version of events, where there was no Primus, and the Transformers were created by the Quintessons. An earlier convention-exclusive comic merged the two storylines in explanation, but was met with similarly mixed opinions." 1. I want to find that comic. 2. Who is with me that ultra magnus was way more bad ass then Rodimus 3. I never realized how indepth the transformers storyline went until tonight Last edited by homsar; 07-18-2007 at 10:12 AM.. |

| There are multiple versions of Transformers "history". I personally think the comics version is more compelling and has more plot potential, but honestly there are something like a dozen different versions out there now, so it doesn't matter. |

| I loved the Transformers comic, although the storylines didn't coincide at all with the animated series. I liked the series as well at the time, but the comics were infinity times better. |

| Imho, the movie sucked. Poor story, shitty fighting scenes, pathetic end fight. Just what I expected really.
