Hey guys I didn't like the movie, it is a product placement for transformers toys! The camera focuses too much on these transformer robots! Also, the movie sucks because every single scene in the movie wasn't about robots fighting!

are you seriously serious? there was maybe 8 minutes of actual fighting on the screen. the movie was 2.5 hours long. 2 hours and 10 minutes was either about a boy getting his car, his girl, the government hiring high school kids to hack, or, when they DID show the robots, it was robots hiding in back yards or optimus prime saying "e-bay."

actual fighting between robots? yeah about 8-10min.

Well you're over exaggerating but I agree there was a bit too much "extra" stuff that didnt need to be in there, the hackers especially even though the blonde was hot. But, did you like the action scenes?

Blackout in the beginning, Bumblebee vrs Barricade, US military vrs Scorpinoc, All out brawl at the end etc. I mean really, Starscream was money all by himself, but a lot of the other action was great too.

no one can deny the fighting scenes were amazing (even if the fucking shaky camera makes it hard to understand what is going on, and a cheap way to cover the flaws)

the problem is that 10% ownage was surrounded by 90% of retarded shit. The same problem you have with every bay movie

i still have to understand if he only direct movies with scripts that fit this description, or if he force modification to make his kind of movie

either way, he one of the worst directions i have ever seen

people who say this movie is good are out of their minds. 10min of fight scenes exaggerating? okay, but it was no more than 15min. the action scenes were good except for the crappy camera. but that's not the point. a transformers movie should be about the robots and their interactions with each other. it would've been much better if 3/4 of that shit was cut out (actually maybe 4/4) and replaced with autobot and decepticon scenes. doesn't even need to be fighting scenes, just them interacting with each other. transformers needs to be ABOUT the robots.

instead what did michael bay shit out? a story about some kid who gets a new car, his whore, sekret govt organizations, and 16yrold hackers. the robots were just there to support that.

so, it was a movie with the worst story ever and robots just happened to be in it sometimes. transformers movie? no.

Did you ever watch the original series? The interaction between the Autobots and the kid and his dad was a major thing.

The one thing I do agree with on this note is that there should have been more Megatron-Starscream interaction, but that can come in the sequels.

Ya, Bumblebee + Spike was a huge plot point for the original series. And if you look at pretty much every Transformers series save for Beastwars, the human pals of the Autobots always have a big role.

Just got back from seeing it. Really enjoyed it overall, but my buddy that went with me kind of echoes the product placement angst I'm reading. All in all, I'm happy with my money spent; it was fun to watch some big robot fights, and it kind of jarred my memory of watching the original series. I wasn't looking for it to be this modernized version of the series - it had transformers kicking decepticons asses and a plot that worked for me. People that are looking for it to rekindle the original series are expecting too much in my opinion; time has changed, and with new people on the staff you're going to get a different direction.

Enjoy it for what it is - mindless entertainment, the same as when we were kids.
