Movie was fricken awesome! The action was incredible!

My only gripes (and they are minuscule) was that Megatron HAD a gun and didn't turn into one. Also the same way that Megatron had guys scatter/retreat when he showed up, same should have been true when Prime showed up.

Also...WHY must the good guy always get his ass handed to him by the bad guy?

They will sell one BAZILLION Camero's. The ad placements were done pretty well. I wonder how much ebay paid to get into the story line that hard.

Great movie. Take the family to see it.

On a side note, what the FUCK was that movie trailer for just before the film started? The one with the giant explosion and monster roar and the statue of liberty head getting punted? They seemed to -kinda- hint at it when they said the guy was "going to Japan". Godzilla? Gamera? Or could we be fortunate and it's C'Thulu!!!

Whatever it is....I want to see it! Looked like Blair Witch meets Godzilla or some shit.

Well I bought a ticket for the movie and sat through a good hour or so of it. I can honestly say for that one hour I had a grin on my face the entire time. The music was great and fit the mood. The storyline flowed well and didnt slow down the entire time. Was great. Sure some parts were cheesy but you should expect them in a Bay flick. CGI was absolute top notch. My only real complaint was that the fight between Bumblebee and Barricade fight was a bit short. Product placement wasnt as bad as what some were saying.

Now remember this is only for about an hour of the show I watched. after that the movie fucked up and tried to herd us into the show they started 30 mins earlier with people allready there. like a full 40 to 50 of us. We could either see the movie or get a refund, but not both. I know people were pissed about it. Ill have to wait till tommorow to go see the full thing. So far though I think the movie is great. =D

I believe it was taken out due to the bitching. But in the previews you do see Ironhide do a Barrel roll so it might be possible they added in the top 2 of them and made no official announcment for the Barrel roll line.

It's J.J. Abrams' secret "Cloverfield" project. It's a monster movie with creatures attacking New York, but it's filmed with cheap-o handheld cameras. A name or release date for the movie hasn't been revealed yet.

as i said in my review ( here ) how Megatron was defeated was the part of the movie that pissed me off

everyone knew he was going to lose, but he had to be defeated by Optimus. there was no other possible ending

instead they made Megatron a fucking juggernaught who stomped Prime easely, only to be beaten by our mighty military forces. i mean, whats the point in make him this extremely dungerous force not even the strongest Good-Guy can defeat, when WE can kill him in a sec by ourself? it negate the entire point of this movie.

The beginning scene with Barricade destroying the qatar base stated one thing: "when a decepticon attacks, just prepare your ass for the rape cause there is nothing we can do about it". this was the entire premise of the movie from day 1. but this sense of "dooming danger" is negated from how easely our weapons can destroy them

i hate when politics ruin a goddamn movie

Nothing was ruined. Fuck the haters. Movie is a 10/10. Had a cheesy-ass grin on my face the entire time.

Were we even watching the same damn movie? Megatron was not defeated by the military. You sound like a raging Anti-American nutjob, which is fine if your facts are at least straight.

Here's how it went down.

Military sends in an assload of jets, they fire their missiles and then get ass-raped by Starscream. Soldiers on the ground and the previously mentioned missiles hit Megatron in a massive barrage, which only knocks Megatron off-balance for a second. Megatron then stands over Optimus, and delivers a fricken "I Win" rant. Optimus does the "I sacrifice myself" bit, but the kid plugs the All-Spark into Megatron instead. Megatron dies. The End. No where in there did the US Military "kill Megatron". best they could do was momentarily distract him.

And you should really go back and spoilerize that post.

actually he was badly badly damaged by the missile barrage. he was barely able to lift up like Prime (who just recieved a heavy beating from megatron)

God fucking damnit. I've been one of the sole defenders of Michael Bay lately because I wanted so badly for this to be good. I know he's a fuck-up, but I thought maybe he was the right guy for Transformers, I thought it might just work. I went in not expecting too much, just a passable story, average acting, and some good full blown Transformers action. What the fuck happened?

I remember seeing the movie concept art for Optimus and Megatron a long time ago and thinking they were pretty much the dumbest shit imaginable. I should have never let myself be tricked into thinking the movie would be anything more than that.

ILM and Digital Domain's efforts were for nothing over half of the time because of Michael Bay's or whatever retard he gets as a cinematographer's horrible action shots. Still, the special effects were great and the only thing possibly redeeming thing about the movie.

I'm seriously surprised by the generally positive reception, most of the people at the showing I saw seemed thoroughly entertained, clapping and cheering at really really weird and random shit. I mean, this movie was not just bad, but like bat shit insane bad, like a trip into Michael Bay's head on several drugs. I know that sounds like it could be awesome, but it wasn't.

It didn't feel like Transformers. It wasn't a well done action movie. There were like 60 seconds of goodness spread throughout, it would have been hard to make this movie any worse.

You say fuck the haters, I say fuck the people with poor taste.

Uh, except Megatron wasn't defeated by our military, he was defeated by Shia using the Allspark... did you even watch the final fight with him? He got knocked down by the missiles from the jets but was about to get the Cube.
