Leo To be honost, I don't really think Leo is that bad of an actor. Basketball Diaries and Whats Eating Gilbert Grape? were two movies that he was terrific in. The former being one of my favorites of all time.

Star Wars: the entire series i dont have anything bad to say about the films themselves, they range from ok at the low end to good at the high end. its the hype surrounding them though, i doubt theres a person in the US over age 10 who hasnt seen at least one of the movies but the worst part is we've had to endure the constant sales pitch for more than 20 years already and without pause. it just never ends, i expect ill still be seeing commercials and ads for something star wars related until the day i die.

Suppose I'll omit 'the classics'...The Sound of Music, etc. Titanic. This movie was a huge hit, however, I'd say the majority of opinions I've heard about it have been negative. Dunno how much of that is just people jumping on the 'titanic sucks!' bandwagon, though. Still, given its success both financially and award-wise, it's definitely around the top of my list. Saving Private Ryan. Like most (most!) of Spielberg's others, much much much too melodramatic for my tastes. I can't stand to watch more than a handfull of scenes. Ok, now I'm getting tired. ET. Ew ew ew. The Green Mile...Donnie Darko...Men in Black 2...Orange Country... And, I like David Lynch for the most part :/ I do think people fawn over his stuff too much, though. Leo can be good, a lot of the flack he gets comes from some of the roles he's taken. I really liked him in Basketball Diaries.

+2 Internets | I don't know what it was about Gladiator that made me dislike it. Maybe it was the totally unbelievable scissor head decapitation, or the bullshit of having the Emperor fight him at the end. How in God's name a fucking toga party like Gladiator beats out Traffic for the Oscar is beyond me.

I think a lot of Kevin Smith's films are overrated. Sure, they're funny, but you don't need to make constant references to them and worship them. There are better comedies. By the way, this is only Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Dogma was genious.
