| When I was watching the series for the first time (watched the entire thing about 10 times through, now), this was the episode that made me realize that cowboy bebop is the best thing ever. An excellent scene choice. does millie like anime? she never makes comments on the anime posts ![]() Last edited by Jinheim : 08-29-2002 at 01:03 AM. |

). Try out these two before you go around dismissing the entire genre.

| of course anime are real movies, maybe they are one very particular genre but animes have still recieved spots on the best of lists at the end of year and still offer a unique insight.

| Well, I didn't like it.. ..but neither have I seen the film, I have no clue about the personalities/characters or whatever. Just saw the scene and I wasn't that impressed. I assume the guy who walks into the church is the good guy, and white haired one is the bad one. But if they're vampires, aliens or whatever, I dunno. But to judge from their speach, it's probably another japanese vampire related movie. Correct me if wrong, hehe. In general I like animated movies, just as much as other ones. Hell, ani ones can be better - the thing is insteed of judging on acting etc. there are other values. It's like analyzing a roman insteed of a poem ![]() |

in fact, there are no vampires (or any other mythical beings) in the entire series. There are a few genetic mutants, though. These two guys, though, are just two guys. Also, this is from episode 5 of a 26 episode series, it is not a movie. There is a cowboy bebop movie that is pretty good, but it is not near as impressive as the series. If you just didn't like it, then I don't know what to say That's your opinion and there's not much I can do about it. If you watch it again, more critically, notice how the fighting is more realistic and continuous that most anime. In most animes, fighting scenes involve lots of flashling lights, people flying through the air, people fighting in seeming mid-air, without a background, and people calling on some kind of unexplained magical powers (which usually involves shouting the name of the technique they are using - something I find very corny and really dislike). This series, however, has none of the above. All the fighting in this series is like watching a few actors on film go at it, which I really appreciate. Also, the series isn't really made with action as its key feature. There's plenty of action in the series, but what really makes it great is that it all makes sense. Everything that happens in the series serves to flesh out the characters and expand the plot, not just provide eye-candy. I just watched the scene again and I understand why you thought they were vampires or something. If that's all I had scene of the series, that's the assumption I would have made too ![]() Watch the rest of the series! Last edited by Jinheim : 08-29-2002 at 12:49 PM.

| cowboy bebop was good, but eva had you caring more about the characters. cowboy bebop had too many scenes were it was "hey random stupid shit happens, lets go do something silly and show maybe a smidgeon of the characters personality(spike V the clown / cat assassin, shroom episode). " if the series condensed some of that into fewer episodes it would have been a lot better... but as it stands now if i see cowboy bebop on tv(adult swim saturday nights) i only watch certain episodes, where i know something dumb isnt gunna happen(monkey virus... uggg). im looking at hack sign to see how that turns out(an anime about an mmorpg, like eq.... look for the rips there are around 20 eps rip'd now). btw for ur standard boobs swords and gay story anime, watch tenchi.

| Heh I have the entire series in avi format on my comp, along with most of Trigun (trying to get the episodes in order.... have 3/4 of them, but not episode 2 yet.. go f'in figure) and all of Evangelion. But I have to agree, this and the last episode are two of the best scenes/episodes ever. |

| hoho I seen a few Evangelion movies and I like those, pretty entertaining. I guess ill work on a few of these. Assumed it had something to do with vampires or some because they spoke about blood! Whats the storyline behind this anyway ? And is it me or does the good guy die when falling outta the window? |
