Bilbo is 111 when the trilogy starts, he find the ring some 30 years before? Aragorn is half elf and wouldn't have aged a day in that time.

/nerd off Edit: Chris is right, Aragorn probably wasn't born 40ish. Younger actor indeed. Last edited by GuyJantica; 09-11-2009 at 11:59 AM.. | |

+8 Internets | Not that is matters. Gandalf specifically mentions that it appears as if Bilbo hasn't aged a day during that span. |

| It is specifically stated somewhere that Aragorn is around 70 in Lord of the Rings. He will be around 20ish at the time of The Hobbit. Now unless you think half elves (which he isn't) are born looking like a 40 year old, I think it is logical to assume that a similar looking new young actor could have a cameo in Rivendell.

+5 Internets | I thought Theoden said he fought with Aragon when he was barely a man and Aragon looked the same then, when talking to Eowyn...

+14 Internets | I happened to have Return of the King lying on my floor, so here's the answer: As per Appendix B (the timeline) 2890: Bilbo Born in the Shire 2931: Aragorn son of Arathorn II born on March 1st. 2941: Thorin Oakenshield and Gandalf visit Bilbo in the Shire. Bilbo meets Smeagol-Gollum and finds the Ring. blah blah blah etc etc... (The Hobbit) 2968: Birth of Frodo 2991: Eomer Eomund's son born in Rohan 3001: Bilbo's farewell feast (Start of LOTR) 3018: Full events of LOTR *edit (added more after 2941 for reference) Last edited by psu199; 09-12-2009 at 10:37 AM.. |

+5 Internets | it's been a while since I read the books, but was Aragorn in The Hobbit? The movies have tainted my memory I'm sure, but I can't remember him any earlier then showing up just after the hobbits head to Rivendale.
