Iron Man

There was this article on Marvel in this (or was it last?) weeks issue of Time magazine, and in it they mention a little bit about how Iron Man is comming up in 2008 as the next big Marvel Feature after Spider-Man 3.

I had totally forgotten about this. I knew it was comming out, and that John Favreau was directing (saw him mention it on Jimmy Kimmel back when Zathura came out) but I don't really know anything else about it.

Anyone know anything about it so far? I'd assume that it's going to be the origin story, just set in either today or the near future...sort of like how the whole slew of Marvel movies is comming from much more of an "Ultimate " direction than the actual origional storylines of the series.

Either way I can't wait. I'm a big Iron Man fan as well as a John Favreau fan.

Lol, i dont know why, but Scott Kurtz's joke about Favreau directing Iron Man makes me wish that it was true.

Seriously speaking though, I always kept hearing the rumours about Cruise or DiCaprio up for the part of Tony Stark. But i think those rumours were later doused and or done away with.

I dont think there's any well known actor who may be able to fill the role of Stark. I think i'd like to see some no named actor in the role i guess.

What about you guys, though? You do you think would be good for the part of Iron Man?

Yeah he has a mustache! And dark hair! And is 90! TOTAL TONY STARK!

Maybe if they made this movie 15+ years ago=P It just depends what age they make him really. It could be someone like Mark Ruffalo if they went young.

As far as casting Iron Man/Tony Stark goes, I can't think of a single name that would actually be a good fit for him.
