Maybe we need a Marvel thread and a DC comic thread in the Books section. That would be a better place for the different discussions on these universes than this thread.

Might as well create Millie's Comics House, because there are tons of threads about X VS Y : Who Would Win? And they'd belong there more than in FOHSS. Not that those threads suck, but a more central place to talk about comics might be nice.

I'm pretty sure neither Millie nor the Bookhouse residents would enjoy seeing threads as seen below taking up the first pages of the Bookhouse :

I don't read any of those worthless WHO WOULD WIN!??11 threads but I keep reading this one because it's nice to get summaries and occasional pages of cool comic book stories.

I would love to see a dedicated Comic Forum which would be moderated for spoilers and removal/Rickshaw of those vs. threads. Unless of course, the thread was discussing a current or past battle between such entities.

Actually, the Book House has been, and should be, our destination for comic book discussions. Even if those discussions occasionally border on the "X vs. Y" variety. I would encourage anyone who wants to discuss comics to do so in that forum.

I cannot say I completely agree. While some of those "VS" threads got way out of hand and became Richsaw material, some of them were probably sparked by people interested in comics but not so knowledgeable that they know all the possible issues or outcomes from battles that may have happened, are happening now or may happen in the future. So if someone came and genuinely asked "Hey guys, who do you think would win between X and Y?", it could spark an interesting conversation, so long as it is kept courteous and doesn't turn into a flame fest or with Goatse pictures spoilered (usually Millie's Houses are quite well-behaved though).. but yeah I agree the spam of a dozen VS threads would be annoying. I guess maybe have one up every month as a poll and switch characters, something like the GameFAQs video game VS polls, but less gay and comics-oriented.

EDIT : To Millie above, well thank you for welcoming the nerdy discussions of comic books in the very quiet Book House. Having lived in Europe all my life, comics weren't very trendy here, so I'm always interested in reading discussions from true comic nerds out there, who grew up reading all about the X-Men, the Avengers and the other super heroes.. I grew up reading Tintin and the Smurfs.. Nice enough, but it's kinda hard to do a TINTIN VS HADDOCK : WHO WINS?

The problem with the book house is that its probably not a great place to use bandwidth on any scans to prove/disprove an argument. If its it screenshots, you can actually post a scan of Batman whipping Superman's tail (or Thor whipping Superman).

I'd love to see either comics get their own forum (with Utimates fan locked in the 'shaw) or keep them in the screenshots forum.

Come to think of it, Millie's Comic Book House sounds better and better.
