That said, I do think they need an actor in that position, someone who can give the character the subtleties need to make the part as non-cheesy as possible. Levesque (HHH's real name) can act but he's no actor.

| Honestly, Thor has no subtleties. He gets drunk he acts like a cocky (god) motherfucker, and he hits shit with his hammer. Of pretty much any mainstream superhero, his alter ego is the least important, which is really where an actual actor would be needed. Part of the coolness of Hulk is Bruce Banner's inner turmoil. Spider-man would be lame if you didn't have Peter Parker's struggles to reconcile his want of a normal life with his extraordinary powers. Thor? Not so much... Pretty much the only time he's ever even shown as anyone else is when he pisses Odin off and Odin takes away his powers That being said, I don't particularly care for Triple H as Thor and it has nothing to do with his acting ability. I don't think you need a really huge guy, he just needs to be cut as shit and pretty good looking in a nordic kind of way, which 3H isn't at all. Actually now that i think about it Viggo Mortenson would be cool too Pitt, McKidd, Eric Bana, Val Kilmer, hell even Colin Farrell would make a decent one judging from his look in alexander. I don't watch wrestling or shit like that, so I can't comment on any non-actors' viability. Josh Duhamel (sp) would be a good Cap, if it's young cap, I liked him in Transformers and he's pretty decent in Las Vegas

| It's really not. Outside of some Civil War stuff, Thor's storylines don't have much depth, it's mostly him fighting demons, frost giants, other gods and cosmic beings. That will make a badass movie, but an oscar-winner it is not.

I didn't hate him in Troy, the Ocean series, or Mr and Mrs Smith either. He's been in a lot of good movies, and even if he didn't "make" the movie for me, he certainly didn't ruin it either (Seven, Interview with a Vampire, True Romance, Babel).

+2 Internets | I love Fight Club, but Norton made that film (though Pitt did have some good scenes). I couldn't make it through Snatch. Wasn't my type of film. I just don't like his delivery. It's too monotone, or something. Kinda like Keanu, but without the "woah!" part. |

And his looks/size helped even more. While you dont need Pacino/Deniro/Hanks level of acting to play Thor. A decent actor with a lot of "prestence/charisma" will probably be enough. Remember that we are talking about a God, from Norse Mythology, among mortals. You can actually expect him to be socially akward. He doesnt have to be "huge" but "big" is mandatory (look at my Thor V3 pics)
