Looks like it might not even be in the first movie at all - assuming their information is correct.

Stark has a failing Heart ..the suit helps to keep him alive. Tony Stark cannot live without his suit for too long or he'll die.

Yeah, there's a piece of shrapnel near his heart. When he was captured he designed a device that would use a magnet to keep the shrapnel held in place so that it wouldn't get any closer to his heart and kill him. The glowing ring is that device.

Ok sorry to ruin the bandwagoning here, but I think the suit in the picture above looks meh. Then again, I never really like the ironman comics =/

I don't know, I guess to me, all the other super hero movies' costumes looked kind of silly. The X-men movie ones weren't that great I thought, nor f4. But I guess its hard to make comic super hero tights look good in real life.

The Iron Man costume looks better than most.

I'm more concerned with how well it'll move. Can't really get a feel for it from that video.

Both suits look pretty good, I think the movement of the newer suit looks good in that video as well. The one shot of Stark himself looks Ok, but I'd like to see him cleaned up. Have to admit, everything looks pretty good so far, even if there is little to see.

I'm curious to see who they cast as Mandarin.

Edit: Also they said they were going to "alter his character" from the comics to the movies. Hopefully that just means "lose the rings of power, keep the bad ass martial artist/super genius"
