Thor is slightly taller than normal humans for the most part, check out the Ultimate Avengers animated film with him in it. He's -way- smaller than the hulk in normal hulk-size when dealing with that film. I think Pitt could pull it off, the question of course comes with the outfit. Would they use the current one, the alternate costume used by the thor wannabe guy when Thor, Beta-Ray Bill and (name escapes me) teamed up to fight the cube guy, or the old ass gimp one? The guy-I-can't-remember had more of a biker/korpiklaani folk metal look to the outfit, which imo would look badass on screen.

Shhhhh! Don't use that U word.. It makes some people around here angry, and you wouldn't like them when they are angry.

WTH. This was a semi-intelligent conversation before Rezz started bringing in the non-lore Ultimates universe. The Ultimates universe has no bearing on anything.

My nerd rage levels just increased 50% with Rezz's post.

I bet they use the Ultimate Avengers Bryan Hitch version and the new hammer. Just like they used the Adi version of Iron man for his movie.

I...I...You've never seen a Pitt movie before you? I'd suggest you go check a few of them out.

Except ya know...all the movies which seem to borrow heavily from Ultimates universe.

They didn't just use Adi's version.
Adi himself DID the concept art for the movie with Phil Saunders.

Pitt has the jaw for it, and proved he could be pretty cut and beefy with Troy and Fight Club. I'm growing rather fond of the idea really.

To be completely fair, the Adi designed Extremis armor was definitely the most 'film ready' look of all of IM's suits anyway in terms of actually looking like a real modern suit. The only other standard one that I think could've been pulled off in film would have been the Modular armor which many people are familiar with as well. Classic R&G 1 or 2 both would've looked bizarre.

They should pick an actor that won't cost a billion dollars and have a ton of demands for later movies.

Robert Downey Jr. was perfect. He was a good actor who made a ton of mistakes as a younger man so he is now probably thrilled to be attached to a super summer box office smash and won't fag out when it comes time to make an Avengers movie.

I'm looking at you Toby Macguire. You fucking poof.

They could always make up for it in the clothing or just camera tricks. They did it in the Lord of the Rings to make the hobbit actors seem smaller in comparison to everyone else.

My guess is he won't have a choice since he signed on for three movies. The first two will be Iron Man movies, with the third being the Avengers movie.
