+3 Internets | I just hope they don't spend 90% of the movie on him building/perfecting the first iterations of the suit. It would suck to have the full-on Iron Man only show up in the final battle of the film. Get the origin done quickly and give us lots of Iron Man kicking ass. *EDIT* Thinking about it a little more, I actually wouldn't mind plenty of Tony Stark. It seems like this is going to be one of the rare cases when the secret identity/normal guy is just as entertaining to watch as the hero. Last edited by McCheese : 02-29-2008 at 11:51 AM. |

Even if you were slightly dissapointed by them you have to praise Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart for there perfect roles as two of the greatest comic book characters ever.

| Personally, I really enjoyed X-Men 2, 3 was alright but fell a bit short of my expectations. The first movie was alright as well, I really felt like some of the acting done by the villains in the first just seemed amateur I guess. Not so much menacing/evil as just goofy, if that makes sense (besides Magneto btw, who I think is great in all 3). This movie does seem pretty amazing, I can't really see the 'crappy CGI' comments, since it all looks pretty stellar from my angle. It doesn't seem like most of the movie he'll have his suit honestly, it looks like it'll start with the before - his fame and trade of arms - the injury /recovery /escape - the 'final' suit being tested & improved, experimented with and completed near the end of the film, with some of its actual use. Easy to then follow up with a sequel of him being a badass 99% of the time in the suit and whatnot. |

+23 Internets | x-men were decent nothing I thought that might have done the comic justice. IMO Wolverine, Pro X, Nightcrawler, and storm were portrayed quite well but that doesnt make up for the fuckups like Sabertooth, Juggernaut and most of the other characters. X-men 3 would have been great if Nightcrawler was in it and juggernaut was accurate.

+24 Internets | So uh Star Wars is a Dark Horse comics property then right? That's what I thought; DH has the writes to publish stories based on the franchise. Transformers was/is a Hasbro product and much like the GI Joe comics was licensed by Marvel to write stories for. Marvel didn't create either franchise and did not make money off of any of the movies for either series. |

And this movie is a new monster as well from what I understand. I think this movie is marvel produced from start to finish, in their new studio, so if it sucks, it not because they licensed their characters to someone else. But I'm pretty sure that last trailer gave me an erocktion, so it'll be ok. | |
