| Spielberg and Jackson filming "Tintin" Couldn't believe it when I heard it, but sounds mildly interesting. Tintin is always great, and can't go all that bad with Spielberg and Jackson. Looks like they're gonna film it in some special way so it won't be all live, but remain somewhat to it's originical comical state. No clue how it turns out. | Even if it ends up being a steaming pile of crap, I am glad they are doing this because if anything, it'll make some people interested in discovering or rediscovering the treasures that are the Tintin albums. |

| I remember Tintin as all I read in doctors offices in France. I couldn't read french very well but I still remember those stories. I wonder if they will do book by book or just make their own stories. |

+6 Internets | I hope it doesn't turn out like Garfield. And yes, I know Jackson and Spielberg will make a huge difference, but God did I love the Garfield comics. ![]() |

Tintin on the other hand is a comic about fantastic and thrilling adventures from the go. So the whole outset is different IMO. | |

+6 Internets | Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - Studio Briefing - 15 May 2007 Didn't realize they were making three movies. I'll have to check out the comic before they are released.

| All that money and effort spent on losing weight so he doesn't look like some hairy disgusting blob yet Jackson still can't afford a razor, some hair gel and an $0.99 Ace comb.

+16 Internets | Razor, hair gel and comb have little effect on your health though. Unless you swallow them that is... To be more on topic, Tintin has some positive (good story telling with a sense of wonder, mystery and comedy, super efficient use of panels and page structure) but also some negative, mainly on an ideological level since Hergé had rather shady moments (or maybe was caught in shady times - Belgium colonialism and later occupation) notably with racist and antisemitic elements (that mostly got "fixed" in reprints). And then there is the problem of the representation of women and the mysterious (a)sexuality of our intrepid reporter!
