I certainly wouldn't call him "crazy". Deranged? Massive Sociopath? Yea sure, but he was far too together to be a downright loon. Biggest lie in the entire movie was: Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

+1 Internets | I really liked it, thought it improved on Begins, which was a solid reworking of a played out franchise. The fact that this movie was much better than the first, despite being stylistically fairly similar, highlights the fact that good comic book movies are made with villains, not heroes. I loved Ledger's Joker, and would put this movie right up there with the first Burton Batman as one of the best comic book movies out there. With that said, it wasn't a 10/10 film. There were flaws. It was too long (there's something to be said for keeping a movie around 2 hours unless you've got some absurdly epic source material like LOTR or something.) Female lead was a total wet blanket...I dunno. It had it's issues, but was still a very good movie, and I agree that Ledger did an amazing job. (Not so sure about the best actor nod, but I guess Hopkins got it for 15 minutes of screen time in Silence of the Lambs, so what do I know.) |

+13 Internets | Don't think Ledge would be in line for Best Actor, it's almost definite that it would be Best Supporting Actor. That said, the movie didn't really feel like it had a main star. Batman is split between Batman and Bruce Wayne, and even put together he doesn't really feel like he's the star of the movie. I would say that Dent is more like the star since just about everything in the movie revolves around him. |

Bale probably thought his family were disguised killer robots sent from the future to stop him before he films Batman 3. Either that, or they just got themselves some damn nice business cards. Really no choice but to pwn them gun-kata style...

| Pride Never Die | I can't agree with it being too long. They couldn't have done what they did in under 2 hours. It would have severely degraded the quality of the film. This is also one of the few movies that I did lose all track of time in. I was engrossed from the first minute on and did not want the movie to end.

WHERE'S THE COOKIES?! I'll tell you, and that's the point. You'll only have time to eat one of them. WHERE ARE THEY?! The jar of chocolate chip is in the attic buried with the old photos, and the oatmeal is in the basement behind the water heater... (sister): Which are you going for? THE OATMEAL!

| /Filmcast Ep. 9: The Dark Knight (GUEST: Kevin Smith) | /Film The link has a half-hour long interview with kevin smith about the batman sequel, and the franchises future. For anyone that remotely enjoys Kevin Smith's take on films, it is definitely worth a listen. I'm not sure how well this fact is know, but he named his daughter Harley Quinn, so obviously he is a bit of a fan of the batman series. |
