This movie deserved 100% on RT. They did not skimp out on anything, it truly embraced the essence of Batman and the Joker, and the entire city caught in between. The kicker is, that your perception of the Joker in this movie is a real tell-all of your world views. Watch this movie and examine what he really does in this movie and ask yourself, have you become numb to the idea of this? All of the insanity, violence, turn-arounds, betrayals, lies, and corruption. Everything idea is visited by Heath Ledger's Joker at least twice in what he says and does. Did you even notice the difference, or has the expectation become that everything will end up twisted the next go 'round? There's so much you can say about this movie, the plot, the cast, the action, the setups, the lines. But it comes down to the fact that you should See This Movie.

wow. Just wow! I had to actually try to think of gripes... And I only came up with 2 things that I thought was silly, but still fits in well with the movie. I have hyped this movie up in my own mind for over 2 years, and did not leave that theater disappointed. It has exceeded my expectations.. Stupidly, I had 2 beers and a big ol' thing of mt. dew before the movie, so half my attention was focused on bladder control.

I can't even begin to overstate how great this movie was. It may be the best film I've ever seen...certainly in the last few years. I can't believe Ledger is gone...besides the obvious personal reasons, its sad to think how much more he would've had ahead of him, even if he never played Joker again. The performance was so good it may have stood alone even if he got the chance to do a lifetime more roles. How any film critic on RT could rate this negatively is beyond me. Some of the bs they wrote makes me wonder what in the world they were actually hoping to see. Epic.

Heath may have played the best role of a bad guy ever to grace the silver screen. It's a shame he died, not because of the loss of his life, but because i am forever robbed of another chance of seeing him play the Joker again in a sequel. I'll be seeing this again, soon.

Heath Ledger didn't die on accident, he killed himself because he knew the level of epicness that is The Dark Knight could only be obtained once in a lifetime. Last edited by Montolio : 07-18-2008 at 01:54 AM.

+1 Internets | Just got back from the midnight showing. Lots of twisted humor, I was laughing quite a bit more than the rest of the audience over the more morbid humor. Like a christmas tree. ![]() |
