| In a nutshell: mediocre movie (pacing, most of the acting, story...especially that ending, and fucking Hong Kong?) with one excellent performance (Joker) and one good one (Gordon), neither of which got the screen time or in-depth exploration that they should have.

| Don't link torrents here, especially to that movie. This is one movie that deserves your money. Show Hollywood what we want more of!

| I just got back from watching this, and I loved almost every minute of it. It was pretty depressing at the end of the movie to walk out after such a spectacular performance on the part of Ledger, and knowing that you'll never see him in another movie again. I've always been a fan of his. Flame me if you like, but I even liked The Order. But I digress. The film was awesome, and the acting (aside from Maggie Gyllenhaal - I don't know, she just fucking sucks; my roommate and I both agreed upon it during the movie) was awesome. Caine, Oldman, and Freeman all played super supporting roles, as did Christian Bale. Because, let's face it... Ledger stole the spotlight in this movie. 9.5/10, only because Maggie Gyllenhaal did such a horrible job of things.

| I agree they should have explored the Jokers history a bit more by showing how exactly he came to be (much like what they did with Bruce in the first movie) to give it an even more personal touch.

HEATH for BEST ACTOR IMO I agree that the Rachael char was meh. I just didn't like her this time around. The other scene besides the pencil that made me really laugh was: Spoiler Alert, click show to read: For a villan in a sequal I would either like to see Clayface, The Ventriloquist, or Bane. Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

+2 Internets | Joker's schemes just seemed too farfetched for me. Take the extraction of the chinese banker out of the jail. It relied on: Joker making his call. Joker having a hostage to force the call. Joker having a shard of glass to have a hostage. Someone (presumably Batman) beating up Joker in the interrogation room enough to produce a shard of glass. Someone uncuffing Joker to make his move. Joker being caught in the first place. Sure, much like The Prestige, the clues were presented for us ahead of time: as soon as you see Joker taunting the cop with the shard of glass right next to his head, it's obvious just how it would play out. But the plan itself is too variable to ever work in real life. Don't get me wrong, it's either this or Iron Man for my favorite movie of the year, but it wasn't the cinematic second coming of Jesus. |

| Batman Begins was one of my favorite movies because it broke the franchise away from the complete garbage that it was becoming with the later movies. I saw it at least 6-7 times in theaters and couldn't wait for the Joker when Gordon flashed the card at the end... ...then I heard Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker. My immediate response was utter and pure disgust. I thought there was no way in hell Heath Ledger was the man to try to play a movie character-turned-icon by Jack. I swore up and down that I probably wasn't even going to see the movie. Heath Ledger seemed like the wrong choice for so many reasons, since he seemed to get typecasted into the charming good looking hero in teen movies. Then the first pictures of him started to circulate through the internet of him in make-up, and I thought.. wow, make-up/costume people deserve some credit. That was one of the best performances I think we will all ever see in our lives. It's hard to imagine that he WASN'T a psychopath. If I were acting in a scene with him, I would have just forgotten my lines while watching him portray the Joker like that. It was just unbelievable. I definitely think he deserves any award he can be nominated for. Hell, give TDK the Oscar for best costume/makeup too. Two-face looked amazing, Batman looked amazing, and the Joker... wow. Just wow. Movie was amazing... So many memorable lines of dialogue too. 10/10 |

| Meh it was alright, Batman Begins was better. Joker was more angsty than crazy. Suit will fair alright against cats? CATWOMAN/PENGUIN BATMAN 2 REMAKE?!?!! P.S. Preemptive for all the -internets this post will garner. Wipe the ledger cum from your lips, the movie was mediocre.
