| Romo is a manwhore | I hope they really nail Batman coming to terms with the fact that Joker is a complete Psychopath with no hope of redemption. I've noticed that superhero movies never really shy from killing off the villains so that may not be a problem. I think I'd be extremely disappointed if Batman went on some moral high ground kick when dealing with the Joker. Out of all the villains he ever faced, Joker is probably the one that most deserves death based upon how completely fucked in the head he is. |

| That's neat. Cassanova. Great. I'd like some arugula with that cornholing, cause we're fucked in the game, cuz. Ok, I jest. Sir William was a much better role. Please tell me the Ben Affleck comments weren't related to any rumors of that cucumber being in this film. /hoist, Coldain style

Having Batman kill Joker would break a little rule he has in his head though. "I don't have to save you" is about as close as it gets. I always liked Joker being badass crazy enough to snap his own neck just to tarnish Batman's image in Dark Knight Returns. I think that was the point where Superman finally got dispatched to deal with him...yeah. Last edited by Iannis : 08-02-2006 at 03:15 AM.

how about the burton batman sucked because of that. if you go by comics or even the cartoons joker will never be slain by batman ever. its not something batman is willing to do.

so true. just saw it again last night on encore. I really hope they do a scene where Bruce Wayne and the Joker talk like they did in Tim Burton's version. I think it will give some more closure to show how Batman even as Bruce Wayne almost loses his cool in exposing who he is to the villian due to his hatred for the Joker's persona. I am not asking for the rehash of the Joker being the guy who killed his family, that was dookie from day one. I am asking for the Batman from the Family Ties (i think thats the series) where Joker beats Robin to death with a crowbar and Batman fucking loses it. That type of Batman.

Movies, however, have no need to keep going in that manner so killing off your villains ain't exactly taboo.

| Last I had heard, they did not want to kill off Joker, and saw that as a critical mistake the first movie made. The idea that they talked about, mind you this was over a year ago, was having the Joker get captured in #2, then his trial in #3. He escapes, and in the process also causes Harvey Dent's accident and the emergence of TwoFace as another villain. Again, that was just a remark David Goyer or Christopher Nolan, don't remember who, made in an interview quite awhile ago. No idea if they still plan to do that or not, but it shows they've got a good understanding of what makes the story tick. I don't mind them killing off a villain, but the Joker is such a great villain for Batman that he should be available for multiple movies. |

| Of all the superheroes, save for perhaps the X-Men, Batman has the widest and most eclectic mix of interesting villains. I'd like for them to do a movie with Vasch and that puppeteer guy. The Joker was the best though, because he's just a twisted version of Batman in a way. They're arch-enemies, but they also share a bizarre intimate bond. |

As a slapsticky, lipstick lesbian with Poison Ivy, though? Fuck that shit. I want dark and gritty and psychologically fucked up characters in my Batman movies. I don't want Looney Tunes adventures.
