| That one movie... I'm having a case of "Ever see that one movie.." syndrome. I need some help figuring out what the title of a movie is based on just a few minor details from the preview. The main character is a semi-famous woman with long red/auburn hair (? sketchy detail). In the preview, the woman (main character) has a friend that has a child.. the child is all of a sudden gone and the father doesn't remember, but she does. To prove it to him, she peels back a section of the wall and it reveals something the kid made, and the truth suddenly dawns on him. (best thing I remember) Near the end of the preview, the female main character and the dude are possibly talking to someone in a chair (sketchy) and then the roof gets sucked up into the sky. These details are based on a memory that's quite possibly two years old. I'd really like to see this movie, so any help would be appreciated. |

| Why did you like the alternate ending better? I only saw the movie in the theater and then read about what the alternate one was (because I didn't like the movie anywhere close to enough to watch it again on DVD) and it sounded even worse than what I saw. |

| Do a spoiler text and tell us the alternate ending. I thought the ending was absolutely horrible. Worst and most stupid ending ever.

+1 Internets | Very vague spoiler text: It's been a long time since I've seen the movie, but if I remember correctly, the original ending just kind of gives the kid back to her for no real reason, without telling you anything about why the whole movie just took place. The alternate ending adds a bit where they show the alien dude explaining that the experiment was to test mother/child bonds, giving the whole series of events a point. Hell, the endings could be the other way around, I don't remember. |

| Dude, the alien didn't look like her father. He was all amalgamous and morphy and then finally materialized in the shape of her father. Honestly, why would it have been better if he came out looking like any non-Human alien entity we've seen in countless other films? The aliens were literally light years ahead of us, and it doesn't seem that far fetched (using my feeble Human mind) that they'd "lower" themselves to our level. But in the end, I still laugh at the South Park episode where the kids get mad at the alien for showing up as Stan's dad, but then scream and yell when the alien reveals its true form and make it change back. |

| Alright I have one. All I can remember about this particular movie is that it was made in the early 90's. There is a house in it that is being built, and while it is being built some guy moves in upstairs in the attic. People then move in and have no idea that there is someone living upstairs in, what they believe to be, a dead end to the attic. Please help! For some reason the above has stuck with me since my childhood. I just want to know what the name of this movie is . |

| The Forgotten is on par with a good episode of the X-Files. It's not bad. Overly melodramatic at points, but it has its redeeming qualities. I thought that creepy blonde alien emissary at the end would turn out to ber son. That would have been a better ending imo. *edit* I looked up my earlier review of The Forgotten and I bashed the film pretty good. It doesn't seem so bad when I remember it now. Maybe there's something I've forgotten. |
