+19 Internets | I just finished it and overall I thought it was pretty good. I had high expectations I guess after Szlia's comments, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Off what Castigator said the way they filmed Smith left it open which I liked, because he only had these small moments with her in the beginning really then left, I thought that was well done so you aren't really sure if the guy was legit or not. The casting was well done, i thought the girl was pretty ugly though. |

| Supposedly there were multiple versions of this film made, the original won massive critical acclaim at some art shit, then got lobotomized for american release. The one I rented was fantastic - Anybody know how to get ahold of the original? |

+16 Internets | On top of my head I would say there are three versions. One that was done for festivals, one that was done for the american release and one that is on DVD. Festival: everything in it. America: less/shortened operatic sequences. DVD: less/shortened dialogue sequences (I have not seen this version, but I have a friend who has it and told be the dialogue explaining the status of Farrel at the begining of the movie is shortened if not cut out completely and left implicit). I think the European release was the festival cut, but maybe it was a 4th one...

| Wow, people liked this movie? I got bored about 20 minutes in, but figured I'd give it a bit more time. By about 90 minutes, I gave up and took a nap instead. I've watched some boring movies before, but damn... |

+19 Internets | The one I saw sure did have a lot of speaking or still shots of people watching things happen so I don't think it was the version that made me think this wasn't the best of the best ![]() |
