| Do they ever explain in any comic book where Wolverine gets all this extra matter to create cells that have been blown away in several foot chunks? Does he suck minerals through the soles of his feet like a plant? wtf

| his body converts his cigar smoke to amino acids. Ice Man was categorized Omega class? I can't quite remember but I thought Omega class basically denoted theoretical access to god-like powers in their 'perfected' mutation while Alpha class are the original progenitors of mutant genes (like Apocalypse) or something... Iceman is such a pussy. The universe deserves to end if he can destroy it. Last edited by Iannis : 06-08-2006 at 01:38 AM. |

| Not 100% sure on this, but Omega simply meant strictly power level. I believe in the comics Jean said that, in Bobby's case, he could theoretically cover the entire planet in ice. Pretty widespread and disasterous, eh? Xavier is also an Omega class psychic, yet he can't create fire out of nothing the last I checked. It's simply a means of indirectly saying just how potent someone's powers really are, I believe. |

| They need a better standard for the power levels of mutantish powers. I wonder how Phoenix would stack up against Nate or Legion from the Age of Apocalypse storyline, both powerful telekinetics. Also the fusion mutant between Magneto and Xavier would have to be an Omega class at least, as well as the son of Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Girl. That little kid is potentially the most powerful mutant of all since he can bend reality or something. |

franklin richard is classified as an omega mutant, but he is pretty much way stronger than anyone during the onslaught crossover, the watcher and apocalipse discussed about franklin, saying he is the first born of the new generation of superhumans (he is to normal mutants, what mutants are to homo-sapiens) and on Return of the heroes special, Ashema tells he is the result of celestials experiments they have done on our anciestor basically, hes pretty much a cosmic level being, with reality control powers he has created a pocket universe, giving life to billion of beings, and hes able to stand against a celestial as egual (he knocked of ashema) so, yes. the description of omega level mutants is very confused also.... | What exactly does Pyro control? Does he create fuel to direct the burn path or does he telekinetically move the flame itself? If the later how come he is restricted to what seems to be just heated gas? Why can't he cause particles to move fast enough to ignite and create his own flame? Could he pull the thermal energy from the area to create a "melt beam"? Could he control lava or other super heated materials? Plasma? Is there a distance involved or could he pull stuff from the sun and launch it at Earth? I mean what is his limiting factor that restricts him to fire? Same goes for Magneto? Why just metal? Cations? Metallic bonds? He can tear apart and reshape metallic bonds at a whim, he must have very fine control over single atoms, why can't he transmute/control other materials if he can overcome such strong bond energies? I know it is a comic book but still, this shit needs answers if I am to suspend my belief.

| Well what about when they were battling barbarians while riding a winged appaloosa yet in the very next scene they're clearly atop a winged Arabian! Please do explain it! |

Pyro's power is the psionic ability to manipulate flame by shaping it as he desires, increasing or decreasing its heat, intensity, and size. He cannot actually create fire himself, however, and consequently wears a costume with a built-in flame-thrower (in X2 the teenage Pyro simply carries a small Zippo lighter with him at all times, though in X3 he gains a flame thrower device attached to his arm). He can psionically manipulate the flame to do whatever he desires, and sometimes induces it to take semi-solid form as an animate flame being (these creations, though capable of movement and of grasping or carrying solid objects, are not alive and do not think or act on their own). The degree of Pyro's concentration necessary to manipulate a flame being is directly proportional to the being's size, power, and flame. Though he cannot be burned by a flame which he is manipulating, Pyro can be harmed by any fire that he does not mentally control. It is generally accepted that he must be able to see a flame in order to take control of it (hence limiting his mental influence to approximately 100 yards). | |

| Hey Dak...then you must have really loved the Beyonder huh? Side note: The first secret wars were good...but when he came down to earth dressed in polyester leisure suite looking like a cross between David Hasslehoff and Michael Landon...and doing anything he wanted (read: God)....it gets kind of stupid. Personally I do like some limitations. But yeah, I know what you mean. There were some scenes in this movie where I was like, "why doesn't he just pick up the whole freaking building and just drop it on all the humans at once...done." I mean, if he can pull an iron suppliment through a guys skin, I'm sure there's plenty of metal around to use ALL of the time. Plastice guns...whatever. |
