| I agree that there are worse comic-movies than Spawn, but none of them involved comics I actually collected. Fantastic Four was shit, sure, but so is the comic... so it didn't bother me much. Same with Catwoman. I'd put Batman Forever/Batman and Robin on the same level as Spawn, and I'd also throw League of Extraordinary Gentlemen on that pile too. Constantine narrowly misses the pile because the movie actually wasn't bad, it just had jack shit to do with the Hellblazer comic. I liked the Hulk too, as a movie, but that's another character whose comic I couldn't case less about. |

| If you aren't predisposed to hating anything with Keanu in it, Constantine was a pretty good movie. Peter Stormare was especially good as Satan at the end. However, it had almost nothing to do with the Hellblazer comic, beyond the name of the characters, the fact that Constantine had cancer, and a couple other plot points grabbed from various issues of the comic. To be fair, Hellblazer is far too complex a comic to make a movie out of it that actually does the source material justice. Despite all that I was still looking forward to a second movie, but it got axed last summer. |

| Just resign yourself to thinking that all comic movies are going to be shit. It is my opinion that is you walk in with low expectations you can't be let down. The track record for most comic movies is either they totally fuck up the story, characters, origin, powers and whatever else can be totally dumbed down for the idiot public. Ghost Rider is one of my all time favorties from even before they revamped him in the early 90's. I am glad they are using the Mark Texeira version of him or something close to it. Anyways it's probably going to suck since they are going to totally fuck up the story line etc. So do like Uncle Pollo kids, keep your expectations low, turn off your brain and try not to put a lot of thought in to the movie when you sit down. Edit: Except for Sin City, that was done spot on. |

| The slo-mo scene jumping the helicopters was pretty cool. Some of the CGI scenes in the trailer look pretty cheese, though ![]() Here's hoping that Nicholas Cage can pull this one off. He's a great actor.
